Yes, That is our God, Amen and Amen, so true! I heard the saying.. God put the desires of His heart in a Spirit, which is you and me and wrapped a body around it. When religious people survive cancer or disasters, they tend to thank God like he answered their prayers. But other Christians who love and pray to god just as much do die from cancer and disasters. So does that man God is just randomly picking people to help?

+MatthewLedZepfan God bless you and well He doesn't randomly choose . It's just that everyone has their time here. There's many reasons why some that pray a lot to God still end up dying; one reason is so that others can get closer to God (be saved) by looking for the reason why that person died and eventually finding God. God uses that persons death to have people like family members to be directed into finding God and eventually finding the only one that can fill that emptiness that was left behind. Eventually they end up being saved too! That is one of many more reasons why these things happen! (this is true)

Hi Jon, I am a recent follower of yours, I followed you in 2016, in what had to be the roughest year of my life, and your videos really helped. I was just desperate for a channel in KZbin, one I could find that satiate my need to be closer to God, and to know Him more, and I prayed and your channel was just one of the many blessings that arrived as a form of response. I am just uite happy that today, I saw this video and you mentioned the storm in the Philippines- I am actually a survivor of that typhoon- typhoon Haiyan/Yolanda. I live in Tacloban. It's just monumental to me how you do all these things, and I hope you never stop and I hope you reach more people. Right now I am very down because my mom has evidence my dad is cheating on her, It's really hard to cope, but I know we can get past this, God is always in the midst and He will go beyond. Yes he dose my 4 year old Ness was born blind she had to go to bc children's and when the doctor looked at here eyes he said is ur eye doctor crazy she's fine and my sister said no but before we left my church prayed for her in the air port and the doctor looked at my sister and said, "I did not believe in maericals till today."

This video responds very well to Timothy Keller's recent book (entitled Prayer) which makes the point that the purpose of our prayers is to know God more and take us closer to Him, rather than to change our circumstances. It is the way we look at our circumstances through knowing God more that should really be the focus. This is a fantastic video, Jon! :)

Its hard for people to believe at first that God would come through because they been so let down and broken inside and fighting for their life that its been hard to trust and believe. I know from Experience. I never had a true friend or someone who can be true to me completely. But right now I am studying at new life bible college. But I am growing every day. Before reading my comment I'm not stepping on anyone's toes. God doesn't answer prayers for material gain. Example I can pray for a soulmate, a business or for success and I can end up with exact opposite. If I pray for healing, a change of heart, or another spiritual concern of my heart he will answer. Why is there murder, rape, and other horric deeds going on is because of us. We have free will, an example: if Chris went crazy and killed a man it was because he used his free will to do so. Free will is the reason why this world is as corrupted as it is. Because ppl abuse it. Ppl's decisions to either do right or wrong. If I got killed it's not God's fault, it would be the person who killed me.
