I would recommend you consider explain why is a sin, and that is (Unless proven otherwise) because God created the institution of marriage in genesis as the only way that he approves for men to fully express themselves sexually, and that is constituted by man and woman (Genesis 2:24, Mathew 19:4-6). It's not a sin because 'God wants to ruin your good time' as some figure but diverging from God's plan here actively hurts. Here is my view on Christianity to the topic: But first: I'm a Christian myself but my family wasn't really believers and didnt care at all (me and my Siblings only got Baptized as an "insurance" that we will be in the care of someone else in our family if they die), I knew about God but I didnt know what it actually means to me. Only over Time I realized how big God's love is and how important we are to him, yet this also showed me how much we Christians actually suck in acting like Jesus wants us to. Ghandi has read the Bible and said "I like your Christ but I don't like your Christianity" and this might also explain why so many People are turning away from God, it's Because the Christians don't act the way God wants us to act: Standing with open arms to others and offer them to get to know God better, instead we hear things like "Murderer", "Rapist", "Homosexual" or even "Jew" or "Muslim" and then some if not most Christians inmediately turn away or just accept them and become more distant to them. That's not what God wants us to do, he wants us to be welcoming to all Humans, no matter if they are sinners or not. And I don't care if and in what extend homosexuality is a sin, but I am sure that God will always welcome you.

What you might be thinking of is the Martin Luther Bible, where in the Leviticus passages, the German word that is used there is "knaben" which means "boy" and in 1 Corinthians 6:9 the German word that is used there is "knabenschänder" where "knaben" means "boy" and "schänder" means "molester". But unfortunately it does not matter what any German translation says. The Bible in English is translated from the earliest Hebrew and Greek Texts. In Hebrew, Leviticus 18:22 says: ואת־זכר לא תשכב משכבי אשה תעובה הִוא wĕʾet-zākār lōʾ tiškab miškĕbê (miškĕvê) tôʿēbâ hiw A literal translation is: ‘With (a) male you shall not lie (the) lyings (or beds) of a woman. Hi! I struggled with rationalizing homosexuality for a long time. Your points you bring up are indeed things that I had to go through, and it SUCKED, but when you break out the other end of the tunnel, God gives you true freedom. Although I struggle with my sin, I would not want to turn from God for the sake of it, because he died on the cross for my sins so that I can spend eternity with him The reason I struggle with my same-sex desire is because I was abused at a young age, and it shaped me. It took a lot of introspective work to realize that I'm not "naturally" gay, even if it feels like it sometimes. I am Christian and don't like how some Christians hate homosexual people. Jesus ate with people others disliked, so they should be kind to them, but here's the catch. We can be a "bad" person and if we truly are repentant in our heart we go to Heaven. As an LGBT Christian I can say that while this video tries to give a good Christian explanation of being gay it falls flat in by not acknowledging that being gay is not just about lustfulness but also about romantic love, and also comparing it to pedophilia and bestiality. It also frames being gay as akin to a having disease and not being a part of your identity, it is possible to be gay and a good Christian. The bible can be interpreted in many ways and I think we all should do a lot of soul searching on our own before we can find the truth within.

I used to be a homophobe because I always thought it was a sin, I saw many LGBT girls and that made me incredibly hateful of them for just being themselves I was afraid, sick and scared of them. I saw the lesbian and bisexual girls liking who they want to like and all on my mind was everybody was lesbian and that I'll live my life alone and die alone that's why I hated them. It took 7 years before I realized I wasn't meant to be straight and so I turned bisexual, I changed a lot and became a person of happiness and support to a community I once hated. And I'm no longer afraid to wait for someone like me cause showing my true colors has helped me realize that the persons past or who they like doesn't matter what matters most is love and their support to you. Ever since 2 weeks ago I have been so proud of my bisexuality and I haven't had so much support before. I was always into hating and no support at all my own religious straight community ignored me and I only got hate from those I hurted. Now those religious people are willing to attack me but with support from Jesus and my community I am so happy. That made me realize that being homosexual isn't a sin because its unknown on the Bible and other Bibles will say it's sinful but they are talking about something else. God and Jesus wants to see us happy and seeing this people forcing others to become straight so the person becomes atheist it hurts my soul man it hurts my heart that many of my community who used to love Jesus had to change and become atheist that's pure satanism.

They're not. "committing homosexual acts" is better phrasing than "being gay" since the latter can imply attraction and not the action. That said, committing homosexual act is condemned by death by God's Law while being drunk is subject to no specific punishment. I, as many other Christians believe that being drunk by itself is not as sin as long as you don't sin because of being drunk, while being a "drunkard" (giving your life to alcohol) is a sin. The Bible has many negative but also positive verses on alcohol and that's why I think this position is the correct one.

The sad reality is that we live in a fallen world, and all creation “groans” under the consequences of our sin (Romans 8:22) and In Adam, we sinned and fell, becoming corrupted ourselves. So the statement "God made me this way" has *no* real scriptural basis. James 1:14-15 tells us that "14 each person is tempted when they are dragged away by their *own* evil desire and enticed. 15 Then, after desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and sin, when it is full-grown, gives birth to death." To claim that God gave or created people with these evil desires is also false as just one verse earlier in James 1:13 it says "13 *When tempted, no one should say, “God is tempting me.”* For God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does he tempt anyone Moreover, 1 Corinthians 10:13 says "No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it." In 2 Corinthians 5:17 we are told "Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the *new* creation has come:[a] *The old has gone, the new is here!"* And in Ephesians 4:20-24 we are taught "20 That, however, is not the way of life you learned 21 when you heard about Christ and were taught in him in accordance with the truth that is in Jesus. 22 You were taught, with regard to your former way of life, to put off your old self, which is being corrupted by its deceitful desires; 23 to be made new in the attitude of your minds; 24 and to put on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness." So even if we have a proclivity towards a particular sin, wether it be homosexuality or any other sin, it was not given by God and Jesus "gave himself for us to *redeem* us from all wickedness and to *purify* for himself a people that are his very own, eager to do what is good." (Titus 2:14) We find an example of this in 1 Corinthians 6:11 where it says, “And that is what some of you *were.* But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God” (emphasis added). This statement negates the idea of “homosexual Christianity” being acceptable to God. Paul tells the Corinthian believers that practices such as homosexuality were evidences of their former life before Christ. Now they have been *born again,* and they have a new nature and new desires. The old nature remains, and the temptations continue, but child of God has been called to fight against sin, not live in it any longer. By the life-changing grace of God, the Corinthians’ new life stands in opposition to the way they used to live.

I went back to church, this time in a wheelchair, having no idea how bitter and angry I was. I had to learn to trust the God I hated just to walk and speak again. As a bisexual person, I have some comments and several questions to share. My Comments: As someone who has experienced both heterosexual and homosexual activities, I feel no different, nor do I feel blasphemous in any way. In fact, I feel as though God intended me to feel this way. It may not be considered "natural" in a traditional sense, as men inherently possess different sexual, social, and physical attributes that have historically made them suited as mates for females, who generally exhibit the opposite traits (e.g., masculinity vs. femininity). I appreciate that in this video, you accurately and, more importantly, honestly represent the Christian view on homosexuality in relation to God's relationship with mankind. However, I believe there is a flaw in the moral reasoning you employ, and I’m not referring to the common argument about "nature" and the compatibility of men being with men. Rather, I find that your overall moral framework in addressing this issue may be problematic. Could you consider that morality in this context requires a more nuanced understanding that accounts for individual experiences and the broader complexities of human nature, beyond a purely doctrinal or metaphysical perspective? Now, this may seem like I am attacking your faith-something I might do with someone unreasonable-but I don't believe you are. Nevertheless, I do want to challenge you on this. Jesus *did* address the issue of homosexuality. Jesus addresses it in Matthew 5 & Matthew 19. In these chapters, Jesus addresses the issue of marriage. Jesus rooted His understanding of marriage in the teaching of Genesis 2, which gives us marriage between a man and a woman for the purposes of procreation, illustration and sanctification. He also made it very clear that what God has joined together, man cannot separate. In other words, God is the author of marriage, not man. Therefore, God is the one who defines marriage, not man. Therefore, man does not have the right to introduce the concept of same sex marriage because: 1.) By definition it's not marriage, it's another thing. 2.) Because by definition, it goes against what has been created in Genesis 2. Jesus did address the issue of homosexuality, because He addressed the issue of sexual impurity. He addressed the issue of fornication. Jesus in the sermon on the mount talks about porneia. He talks about sexual impurity, which is a reference to the porneia code in leviticus 18 which clearly upholds the idea that homosexuality is sinful. The Bigger issue with "Jesus never said anything about homosexuality" is that it's not just that Jesus is God but that Jesus is a member of the Godhead. It's not just that Jesus is divine, but that He is a member of the Trinity. Jesus has existed eternally as God & Jesus has existed eternally in perfect union with the Father and The Holy Spirit. Although He ook on a human nature in His incarnation, He did not come into existence in His incarnation. You cannot divorce Jesus from the rest of the Bible. Therefore, when you read in Leviticus 20:1 that "The Lord said to Moses" then that *is* Jesus speaking. You also cannot separate Jesus from the Father and the Holy Spirit on the issue of homosexuality. You cannot claim that Jesus never addressed the issue of homosexuality, unless you want to argue that Jesus has a different opinion on the matter than God the Father & God the Holy Spirit, which is hugely problematic because that would mean a breach in the Trinity and the whole universe would cave in on itself. Lastly, The Bible is one story. Not many. You can no more separate Jesus from Paul or Peter than you can separate Jesus from The Father or The Holy Spirit. What do the apostles teach? The apostles are whose apostles? They are Christ's apostles. So the teaching that they give us, is the authoritative teaching of the church from The Lord Jesus Christ Himself.

One would think if homosexuality had been very important He would have made a point of directly addressing it. His discussion of marriage has nothing to do with the issue, as that was simply considered the "normal" thing people did back then. A man and a woman got married. It would have been utterly alien to His audience if He had talked about anything other than this set-up. As far as what The Father had said, we are talking about what was written in the Old Testament, in Levitical Law, which also contains edicts commanding that a child who "curses" their parents be put to death, and that someone who does not properly observe the Sabbath also be put to death........as well as a host of other very strange and questionable laws, raising the question of whether God wrote those particular laws or the Jewish priests did. Today, of course, we follow almost none of them. Likewise, God instructs the Israelites on a number of occasions to carry out genocides on several different nations. Today we totally reject both slavery and genocide despite these scriptures, because as a species we've married enough to know these things are wrong. Yet we do not approach the Old Testament scriptures regarding homosexuality in the same way, despite what we have learned about sexual orientation, and the thousand other things that the men who wrote the scriptures did not know. But I can say that much, I like being me, I cannot say for sure if I fully love myself because I am going through some problems myself; but, for my sexuality, i love being attracted to men. Even though Christians are taught to Love as Jesus did, most Christians are often judgmental towards those who do not share the same beliefs or who are simply different-and most Christians often do not recognize the hypocritical nature of their judgments. Jesus knew that his teachings would be misused and misunderstood. For that reason, Jesus has RETURNED-through the medium of his original teachings (the Christ Letters, A Course In Miracles and A Course Of Love), or through those who can communicate with the dead-to describe his life and his teachings over 2000 years ago, so he can rescue Christians from MYTHS and FALLACIES too. But no Christian has the capacity to listen to Jesus because of their stubborn adherence to cherished beliefs.

What kind of beliefs do these words portray?-belief in wrong doing of a magnitude worthy of punishment. A belief that it was possible to take the lives of animals, birds, and then Jesus, and load them with people's sins in order to have it completely forgiven. What kind of devious ethic was promulgated here? What does it say about the ethics of the initiators of such beliefs? What kind of consciousness would such imaginings create? And when such consciousness began to materialize in the events and experiences of the world's Christian inhabitants, of what kind do you suppose they would be likely to be? Is this not the same God of the Holy Bible, God's Sacred Word, who sent plagues upon the Egyptians and whose Angels killed all the Egyptian first-born children and animals when the Israelites, led by Moses instructed by God, escape from Egypt? This history of the Jews is the Great Event celebrated in the yearly Passover. The Christian Church has not outlawed war. How can it when Christians stubbornly believe that God has countenanced war as a means of procuring more land for His Chosen people and Christians? Can you now see why the chaotic state of the world remains the same despite the prayers of the Christian Congregations? And then you have been told that your sins have been washed clean in the blood of the lamb-and who is the Lamb? Why, yes, it is Jesus... who, more than 2000 years ago, died on the cross. Does it not now become crystal clear-WHY-prayers for the Will of God to improve world conditions have been unanswered? It is the Will of Man that killing and slaughter should be an expedient means to settle swiftly a score between nations and people in conflict.

Do not try to understand what Christ was saying by thinking of what you have been told by religious teachers. You suffer because you do not understand how you have been created, and the true purposes for which you were born. You were born to be children and heirs of God, you were born to enjoy all that God is in Himself, and all that He can give you. But you turn your backs on all the glory of the Kingdom and try to find pleasure in escapism. While you do this you will never find the Kingdom of God, nor enter into the Kingdom of Heaven.

And who supposedly established what is "sin" and what is not? - your god! So he does send people to hell. This is just petty excuse making, it's like saying that the state doesn't send anyone to prison, people just break the law. And it is unjust ×10 in this case because 1) god is omniscient, so he created each of these people with the knowledge they would be in hell and 2) there's many religions, so there isn't just one government making the rules, it's more like 10 governments all claiming they have the objective law and telling you that sometimes in the future a police officer may or may not come to persecute you in favor of their law.

First off, being gay is not a "perverse sexual act". You can be gay and not have sexual relations at all. Being gay is innate like you mentioned, so how can you relate it to an "act", which is something that you do, not something that you are. Also the way you frame homosexuality is disgusting. It's not "abandoning natural relations with women..." How do you even know that men and women are the only thing that's natural? A gay person could say that straight men are "abandoning natural relations with women" and both statements are equally supported, which is not at all. At the end of the day, this is just the way of Christianity. Holding scripture that is 2000 years old means inheriting all the beliefs of that time as well, which is and will continue to drift further and further from what is acceptable and just in our continually advancing society. This is why I am much more in support of those who are willing to take lessons from the bible without being dogmatically bound to it, like my father. My father, a science teacher, is somebody for whom I respect greatly for his ability to take meaningful lessons from the bible, while being able to discern which parts are better left in the past because they are outdated morally (eg "Women should remain silent in the churches. They are not allowed to speak, but must be in submission, as the law says."), or factually (eg evolution is in fact real). If god does exist, I would hope that he would reward those who earnestly try to discover the truth of the universe that He created, and those who treat everyone with compassion and respect. Given that we are made in God's image, I would hope that He does not dislike us for something that we are inherently born with, like being LGBT+, autistic, disabled, etc.

Firstly, about your first paragraph, he was literally just quoting the Bible since, as he clearly stated at the start of the video, this video is all “according to the Bible”. Obviously, if you have a problem with that then okay but he is make it clear that this was a Bible based video. Secondly, about the last sentence in your comment, God does not dislike anyone for being any of the things you mentioned (curious where you got the whole disability thing from though). The simple (biblical) fact is that all sinners deserve to go to hell because God is fair and he is also love and that is why Jesus died. But his point is that there’s things in our society that we find acceptable that we previously didn’t. Sinning is acting against the divine law yes. But the divine law is supposed to be a law that prohibits actions that harm individuals. Being gay does not harm anyone. It’s something that doesn’t harm other people, isn’t against any of the 7 deadly sins (baseline) and overall has no reason to not be allowed. There’s a point where it’s a gray line if being gay would really be considered bad. Because what the Bible says is only specific to man to man. So women being gay for each other seems to be fine, according to the Bible. Sexual orientation wasn’t a concept that was understood during biblical times.

Do we know why it hurts God? No. Do we need to know why it hurts God? As a Christian, no. A belief about the Bible is that it is “God breathed” meaning God didn’t physically write the book but the people who did write it wrote it according to what God wanted (this isn’t necessarily a historically proven belief but it is a Christian belief) and this means that although society at the time might not have understood sexual orientation but God did (he knows everything). Also, the Bible does mention woman and woman (I’ll put the verse here when I find it). Also, what else is there to know about sexual orientation? According to what’s said in this video, the belief is that having homosexual desires isn’t a sin but acting on it is which takes into account the fact that sone people are “born gay”. Btw there are obviously things that we humans find acceptable today that we previously didn’t but that doesn’t mean God also changed his mind about them.
