Does God Want Me to Be Happy or Holy?

I meant to say you've confused happiness and joy. Happiness is shallow, joy is deep seated, happiness comes and goes, joy endures even unto death and persecution. Happiness is a warm puppy, joy is Christ glorified in us.

I guess I have been seeing it the wrong way. Whenever I heard pastors say God is not interested in our happiness, I thought it meant that things like severe depression is something you just live with because God thinks other things are more important than enjoying life. I am so glad it doesn't mean that.

Yeah but who wants to serve a God that's just going to make you miserable? Happiness goes with holiness. It's a better happiness than the things the world can give you. God wants us to be holy before happy so we can be happy in holiness and truth

I think the eternal suffering of the nonelect makes you fear God. At the same God can demonstrate his perfect jugdement. I dont think the suffering of the nonelect has anything to do with your joy or holiness.

I totally get you, I felt like that some years ago. But you have to read Romans 3:10-12. Their suffering is 100% justified. They dont get any suffering that they dont deserve. If the suffering of the non-elect makes you psychotic, you have to focus on the cross. Because God is not an Evil God that wants people to suffer. If you read 1 Timothy 2:4 you read that God desire all men to be saved at come to knowledge of the truth. But this is Gods plan to demonstrate his perfect jugdement. It is wrong of you to suppress your love. Maybe your love for them may push them closer to God and save them from everlasting fire. I hope this helps.

Raf: Is their suffering justified? I don't see what to blame them for. They're sinners but so are we. They're just *unlucky* rats. *Of course* God *wants* people to suffer -- why create *any* nonelect otherwise? *You'll* have to suppress your love for them forever while they suffer in hell while you live large in heaven. Ofcourse their suffering is justifies. Otherwise God wont be just. All their suffering is deserved. Now, I agree that we are sinners like them. But we receive righteousness thought faith in Jesus christ. Its not that they are unlucky rats. Its more like that we are som lucky sinners. At the same time that God want to demonstrate his perfect jugdement, he also want to demonstrate his perfect love and forgivness. Ofcourse you can be sad that they are not saved, but you also need to trust God, because he knows what he is doing. God do not wish people to suffer. He is not evil, He chooses to save some of us to prove that he is loving and forgiving. You dont have to supress love for anyone. How things are gonne be in heaven, I can not tell you. But while living on earth, you have to love your neighbour as you love yourself - regardless of their faith. I dont know about you, but i am definitely not going to be psychotic sooner or later.

I have found that trying to contact you is particularly difficult! I am interested to know why your answers to a persons questions regarding "Abiding in CHRIST" required only the first few verses of John 15. I have previously heard a 'sermon' on this same topic and was completely 'ashamed' to hear the 'preacher' gloss over what YUHSHUA is so clearly saying if we are really 'SEEKING' with ALL our hearts, minds, soul, and strength. You 'jumped over' verse 10! "IF you 'GUARD' MY 'COMMANDS' you shall 'STAY' in MY 'LOVE', even as I have 'GUARDED MY 'FATHER'S 'COMMANDS' and 'STAY' in HIS 'LOVE'." WHY? Those who don't 'GUARD' 'THE COMMANDS' of YUHSHUA [Jesus] and HIS 'FATHER', YHWH [YAHUWAH] are NOT going to 'STAY' in their 'LOVE'. YUHSHUA goes on to say to those who are 'SEEKING' for themselves 'THE TRUTH' , "These I have spoken to you, so that you do NOT 'Stumble' [or be be 'Taken Away' - 'Pruned Out']. They shall put you out of the congregations, but an hour is coming when everyone who kills you shall 'think' he is rendering 'Service' to ELOHIM [God]. And this they shall do to you because they did not 'KNOW' 'THE FATHER', nor ME." John 16:1-3 I can only assume that you are a person who has been 'DECEIVED' into thinking that 'THE COMMANDS' of ELOHIM have been 'REMOVED'. That your 'ministry' is 'preaching' 'LAWLESSNESS'! "EVERYONE doing 'SIN' also does 'LAWLESSNESS', and 'SIN' IS 'LAWLESSNESS." 1 John 3:4 "EVERYONE 'STAYING' [ABIDING] IN HIM does NOT 'SIN'. EVERYONE 'SINNING' has neither 'SEEN' HIM nor 'KNOWN' HIM." 1 John 3:6 So the 'ANSWER' is quite simple........ we choose to NOT 'OBEY'! For the word "man" is not in the inspired ancient Greek Text and the true translation makes it impossible to be a Christian without being a pacifist. For it is written: "You have read that it was commanded by Moses, 'Eye for eye, and tooth for tooth.' I now say to you: Do not use force to overcome evil. Instead, whenever you are struck on the right cheek you must turn to them also the other. And one prosecuting you in court, in order the cloak of yours to take, give him also your coat.” 3. In Romans 13:1 the word "ordained," it is pure fiction. Otherwise, Christians would be commanded by God to fight in wars created by Satan. For it is written: "Every man - government with its deadly force he must be in submission to. Never for an absolute is there force that kills if not under God. The reason being, by God it is allowed to prove the corruption of it." Ro 13:1 3. How can anyone trust the word of Christ or John the Baptist, when Bible fiction states that they both died with a dead faith? Surely fiction, for it is written: "The Father of mine! The Lord of me! May it be now, the departure of me?" Mark 15:34 "John proclaimed… You are the one to come and we must expect and trust it will be!” Matthew 11:2 4. Christianity is split down the middle over the issue of saved by grace or saved by a subjective emotion called faith. All because the inspired: "He who knows the future..." was by Jerome turned into the satanic: "those God foreknew..." For it is written: "He who knows the future has predestined a few to conform to the exact likeness of his Son, who was the first one brought to life of all the brothers. And those he predestined he surely calls, and those who are called, he surely makes righteous, meaning harmless. And those who are harmless, he most surely will glorify." Romans 8:29

This guy is in my top 5 all-time moron list. It's going to be stunning to see how he transitions off this plane to the next and finds out his whole life was a monumental waste of time. That everything he thought and uttered was based in fiction. I'm definitely going to check in on him when we are both on the next plane. I don't see how he can make it psycho-emotionally. Much less, how it will even register that his whole life was one constant delusion. How can he ever reconnect with reality. And then there's his ego. His Mt Rushmore size ego. Even if he geta a whiff of a clue that he was totally wrong his whole life, how can he ever admit it and risk the embarrassment and the shame? He may well have dug a hole so deep he will never get out of it.
