Charity and inheritances are common themes all throughout the Bible. You cannot create and pass on an inheritance or be charitable when you have nothing. The wealth comes naturally to those who follow Gods instruction/Torah. You are to make and pass on to your heirs generational wealth.

@@thechristianarchist662 I agree with that as well. My point was that you don't need to be Wealthy to help more people. Cause money is not the only way to help people. 👍

My Grandpa was a Baptist minister in East Texas for 60 years. He was one of the most godly and respected men I knew. When I got my real estate license I was sitting alone at an open house one day with no prospects or clients so I decided to call him. He told me that God wanted me to be successful and to work hard on my business. If that meant I made a lot of money in the process then so be it. Just as long as I kept loving Him!

As soon as you put your faith in Jesus' sacrifice for the payment of your sins, believing that it's by His sacrifice for you that you go to heaven and not by your good works, then you are saved forever (quoting Romans 4:4-5 and John 6:40). No matter how big you sin, or how big you lose faith, you will always be saved from that moment on (quoting John 10:28 and 2 Timothy 2:13). That is to reassure us all that are forever saved, but apart from thinking about salvation, we gotta fully surrender to the Lord, cause if we don't we'll be in a whole lotta pain. You would then enter the state of dead faith (described in James 2), where you are still saved, but you are spiritually dead (due to not having good works/sinning much), meaning you would be distancing you from God, and you don't wanna do that (from experience), cause then you'd lose many time of your precious life by staying in a state of guilt/rebellion. Hope i explained everything good enough.

Definitely hit the nail there. Being poor can also get in the way between one and God and most people will believe that’s not possible and that only wealth can. God does indeed want our heart only. He can make gold pour out of a rock if He wanted to.

Proverbs 10:22 "The blessing of the Lord makes rich, and he adds no sorrow with it."

"You cannot serve both God and money."..."Do not worry about your life what you will eat" verse too....the bottom line is we are not to seek riches.......You can take one verse and justify greed and the love of money....and sadly in these last days much of the Church has with the false Prosperity Gospel...."Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth." We had very little for a long time, then my husband found the courage to leave a job that was apparently really holding him back, because once he left, he more than doubled his salary in about four years. In the reversal of circumstances I've struggled with the perception that you have to be poor to get to heaven, because now I can no longer consider myself poor. The Lord showed me something last summer that was super-interesting: Memories are a key resource he uses to communicate with us. The use of money to arrange the material world in fun ways (like throwing a marshmallow war for the neighborhood kids) is ABSOLUTELY a legitimate use of wealth. Doing kind things, even "wasteful" things like throwing a party, adds to the stock of memories Jesus can use influence people for Truth, Beauty, and Goodness later on.

"It's easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God" is a metaphor from the Bible that appears in Matthew 19:24, Mark 10:25, and Luke 18:25. I 100% agree with everything Dave said BUT it's incomplete. I think this scripture is saying that its easier for a poor person to position their heart where God wants it than it is for a rich person to do the same. There's certainly no question that salvation is available to the rich but beware that having much WILL make it much harder for your heart to remain where it needs to be.

Engaging in community when it comes to stewardship, really has to be an understanding of how to support someone else’s need by faith. God has His way of calling upon us to care for each other and giving is one way to do that.

Actually there are many ways to give gifts and talents besides money. Money can get in the way of nurturing talents that can bless people immensely. Have enough for today and focus on God's will in one's life by nurturing talents that He can use for the Kingdom here. That time will not be used to make money but in building one's abilities that God gave them, to bless people with them later in as they are perfected. Many people pursue money and are out if God's will. Pursue basic money, invest and use the rest of the time nurturing talents - that may even cost money, to use for His Kingdom here. That can bless people more than money.

The wealthy will get wealthier by raising prices and the poor will get poorer as a result. Christianity and the evangelical White Christian nationalist movement equate faith with usury. Of course, we all want to live life with peace of mind and healthy relationships with others. In our reality, in order to achieve this, money is a determinant factor, more so in societies like in the US. Being an atheist, you see the superficiality and hypocrisy of present day Christianity and all its sects and the Abrahamic religions in general covetousness for gold and capital.

The answer to that question is may be found in Matthew 19:20-24, Jesus tells the rich young man who wants to know what he must do to gain eternal life, “go, sell what you possess and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven, and come follow me” Matthew 19:20, then Jesus says of the rich, “it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of god” Matthew 19:24, The gospel are full of examples of God’s favor being focused on the poor, not the rich, Jesus enters the world in a stable and lives in a working-class family, St. Joseph was a laborer, not a worker with fine wood, through the years there have been many who preached the gospel of the full stomach, but it is not the gospel of Jesus, most of the saints who were born into wealth renounced it sooner or later.

Absolutely not true. It's like saying that money has absolutely nothing to do with food, or electricity or the internet or clothing. Only one who has not done proper thinking will be so naive to say such a thing. Besides if its true that God doesn't care, then 2 Corinthians 8:9 & 1 Corinthians 3:21-22 just won't exist. If God doesn't care, then he wouldn't have cared in the days of Abraham whom he made extremely wealthy, Abraham would have been poor or a just guy who barely afforded the things of this life, then God wouldn't have cared in the days of Jacob & Solomon e.t.c. How do we know this for sure? We know because God never changes, he is the same yesterday, today and forever. So if he cared in those days, he still does today, and guess what? He is no respecter of persons, which means that God wouldn't treat those guys in the past better than he treats us today, infect we are better off because we have a better covenant which means that we have what those guys had plus some more. @benban8055 money is a means to an end, that's all. You don't have to be wealthy to enter Heaven. God allowed Job to suffer the loss of his wealth, but still loved him, and in fact, wanted to give Job an opportunity to prove his love for God by blessing Him even in trials. Jesus was born in poverty and lived a very poor life to teach us detachment from earthly things. In fact, God said, "Seek ye first the Kingdom of God and His justice, and all these things shall be added unto you."

@@benban8055well the scriptures that you mentioned are speaking about spiritual riches, not material ones...... So you're taking those verses completely out of context... God does not care about finances. Since that is a worldly system. In fact Jesus tells us not to worry about worldly things. That we will be taken care of as the birds of the air are taken care of. That worrying about worldly goods is likened to idolatry. Since you are elevating something to the status of God in your life. We all can help in ways that don't take money. For example, Big James and Little James in the series The Chosen plowing the land of a gentile with a broken leg. That costed nothing. (James and John weren't directly told to do this in the bible, the show just uses it to help explain a point).

Don't wait until you have the money to help. Time and Talents are good ways to give as well. Keep working toward that $$$$ goal, but do not forsake other ways to help the poor, even WHILE you are poor. Volunteer at a local soup kitchen or food pantry.

My take away from Scripture is that God wants us to work, be wise, and be responsible stewards of your resources. If you do these things and you end up wealthy, great. If being wealthy is the goal and it means you neglect your relationships or do unethical things to get it, there is a problem. If you are poor because you are irresponsible, I don't think God has a special type of favor for you, it's just natural law at work.
@LandonDean-zk4wn

God created the natural law, even so as the wicked can prosper from it. Wickedness and Righteousness don't coorelate with wealth. Wealth is not good nor is it bad.
