If you have a close enough relationship with God, not just with the Bible, but with God...you should ask God, not ask yourself. Seek God and ask him to bring you a wife or a husband. Be prepared however that although he will bring you someone if its his will...you will probs have to wait while he prepares you for the role and heals you of any past hurts. What looks like a no answer can actually be a not yet.

Love is always a risk. You won't know everything up front. And if you like someone, take the risk. General questions: does God like dating? Marriage is Godly so dating is good. Should I date? If you're willing, preparing to marry, yes. Should I date now? Look at your life now. Ask if there's a reason not to. What about this person? Look for if they are ready and a Christian. Flaws are different than living in sin. Does the other person want a relationship with you? If so, it's a green light. (Check the Bible, Holy Spirit's impressions, and circumstances too.) It's not a sin to move forward, if you're not really sure. This can be an expression of faith. ~ Wow, what a helpful video!

Hey KYU The Holy Spirit would give you a sign and he would make a path to comfort you to that path. Ok, this where human are humans. God gave us also free will, emotions and a conscience. This is what gets in the way of hearing God The Holy Spirit and even the Holy Angles. I know enough now to ask God for his guidance. I went my own way and ended up being badly hurt. God had to break my heart to make me realize I had to rely on HIM for what I need and who I should be with. I'm 53 and have been around. I've been badly hurt and know now to be very careful. If a man I date asks for sex early in the relationship, I will drop it if the guy leaves because he didn't get what he wanted. Stick to your guns. I know God will guide me this time. Great video!

Oh man this is so true. I remember clearly hearing God tell me "I'm not gonna tell you to date or not date" a specific girl. I couldn't believe it. I got my heart hurt in the relationship and obviously learned she wasn't for me, but it surprised me that he said that. Sometimes He allows us to experience pain. Also seems like he wants us to have our own experiences without always playing it so safe and thinking His will is a tight rope.

I appreciate your view but there are situations where you have to walk by faith and not by sight. I am best friends with a Godly man and God has told me he is my beloved. My relationship ended a month ago, I see her going in a bad direction. I did mistakes, I started praying and like a flash, I saw all my sin and what I must change to get her back. Our relationship was incredibly intense, but I started neglecting her at some point, I forgot about god, my faith was weak as never before at that time. I love God more than any man. Then if a guy likes me, I just treat them as a friend and follow the flow. I didn't give my heart to them. Because I don't trust any man, but I only trust God alone. May I know how did the Muslim guy liking go? A Muslim guy likes me too. On our first date, I was happy he initiated talks about God and his relationship with Him. I only have two, say criteria for a guy I would date. For him to be a Christian, and same race as mine (I will not mention any race, my point only is that somehow I want to have deeper connection, and that sharing of same values will be easier). I had the last criteria for the longest time. I think it's negotiable now. But the first one, I really won't and can't. However, been reading (cause yeah, I'm beginning to like this guy, I hardly fall that easily, but he has very outstanding qualities) that Moslem and Christian relationship can work. Don't you think?

Most of the time it won’t work. I’m myself a Christian married to a Muslim, and it’s not working, especially now that there’s a child involved. I’d say walk away as a previous commenter said, or if he likes you that much then he converts to Christianity, then and only then consider. If I could go back in time, I would have never got involved with my husband. Marriage is hard in itself, don’t complicate it. Besides, Islam and Christianity are just not compatible.

Thank you for this video and message. I'm in my mid-30s and I'm embarrassed to say that I violated what you talked about at @ 8:10. You talk about God likely NOT wanting us to date someone, and clearly telling us so, when she (in my case) rejects invitations to go out or anything like that, *multiple times*. Just beginning to get over a 4-year "crush" (which sounds so juvenile at this stage), where I had a long-standing interest in and attraction for a particular female. We have been friends, but she only ever went out with me ONCE in all the times I have asked her - and that was actually after knowing her for a year and half! I can't even count that as a "date" in retrospect, though it "felt" like one.... We've never gone out again since then, but I had continued to harbor "hope against hope" that this was "God's Will", that she was the one He had for me, and that one day God would "touch her" and she would turn around and see me in a "different light". Lol! I laugh but it's embarrassing at this stage of life. And perhaps somewhat "unhealthy" which makes me realize I may have some work to do. Also realize how much time I wasted by not looking into other prospects, not growing myself as a person, etc. So your point really is well-taken. I encourage all not to make that mistake like I did ; ) Pray for me :)

The funniest thing about this is, I feel like I've known my boyfriend (& soon to be fiancé, he's planning on officially "putting a ring on it" soon) since before we even met (on Facebook, we've yet to meet in person due to being long distance), but I told him that I had had a dream (about my future wedding) in 2010 (didn't meet him until 2014, & we became Facebook friends in January 2015, & finally got together (as a couple) 6 months ago, on August 7, 2018. While I'm a Protestant Christian, he's an (inactive) LDS Mormon, but even religion aside, he & I have so much in common that I feel like it was meant to be. I even have told him that after I initially saw his Facebook profile that I just knew. There was (& still is) something about him, that I just love (about him), & it's not necessarily just ONE specific thing either, which is why it's so tough for me to pinpoint (when he asks) what it is (about him) that I love so much & why I fell for him, as it's not just his looks (although he IS very easy on the eyes) or his personality, I just don't know EXACTLY what it is. I just see him as the total package. Somehow, my "dream man" is mine...FOREVER & for that I'm eternally grateful...and it's also a plus that we both were born with Hydrocephalus (& also have Epilepsy) & other medical conditions & so we understand each other (on that level) as well, and can still look past each other's OTHER disabilities & limitations, & love each other regardless, & we match up (from an astrological standpoint) as well. 😁 I had always said (since having the dream about my future wedding) that I felt (as an Aries woman) that I'd marry a Leo man...and my boyfriend IS that Leo (August 13th birthday), I was shocked by that (when I found out his birthday), and we also match up from a Chinese zodiac standpoint as well. While I'm a Boar/Pig personality (born in March 1983), my boyfriend is a Goat/Sheep personality (1979), which (as a Boar/Pig personality), the Goat/Sheep is one of my allies. My other ally is people born in the Year of the Rabbit (like one of my cousins is). 😁

I haven’t had a close rls with God this year... and I know that I am not ready to be in a rls if my rls w God is not good. But I have been liking this guy for a Long time and I was interested/infatuated with him before I even rlly knew him. Only recently (after talking almost Everyday) I found out he is a Christian as well and he is a really a God-fearing God-loving man which really made me reflect on myself not in the way that I have to be like him to be with him but made me reflect on my own rls with God and after talking consecutively for a few days I told him about my situation and he said he would pray for me... last night I just got emotional and prayed to God ( haven’t had a serious/private prayer in a Long time) about how I felt and how I wanted to pursue God and stop being lukewarm. I wanted to change. But I don’t want it to because of the guy I like but really because I want to be the woman God wants me to be and idk if he placed this guy in my life for a reason or to be a potential partner but I still want to pray about it and I know that even if he isn’t, God has someone better in mind for me

But there are some I get a real bad heavy gut feeling about.. they make me nervous.... i believe they're not the one. And there's is things about them I wouldn't like...or tolerate. I was never ready and I keep getting thrown with relationships and the beginning of the relation I pray and get the red flags but I don't let tgat person go and now I'm suffering from anxiety but I get it's a lesson from God. I'm not ready to date and obviously cause I'm still young and I disobeyed my parents, currently dealing with the consequences of going against a commandment.

What I did is made a general list of the things I want in a wife, and allowed one to three things on that list to not be on there, it’s really helped me narrow down who I will chose to pursue in the future

Right. I would prefer to keep the talks on the phone initially & pray for understanding of GOD' will in regards to the matter. Go for a date after engagement. The whole prespective on dating changes if couples go for a date after engagement. This would look weird to the modern dating culture that exists even in the Church today. I've been into this confusion for months. I broke up with my ex girlfriend about 5 months ago and immediately I went back to God with the hope that he will save her and would repair our relationship this time with Him on mind and I promised him that if He gave her to me, I would help her walking on God's way. Two weeks after we broke I know God allowed me to talk to her about Him. Back then I thought that He would repair our relationship but I knew inside that I wasn't ready to help her to walk with God, so she told me that she liked another guy, now is her boyfriend which definitely deceived her, but I know this is her trial so He will make her realize that she must seek Him. I've been asking for her every day and I've been wondering if God is going to allow me to make my promise. I have a lot of doubts because I'm not sure if what I feel is His voice or it is just me. To this day I've been fighting with this sinful addiction I've had for years so I would be prepared in case he grants my prayers but I want to be sure about his answer, because I wouldn't like to continua praying in vain.

Well God Speaks to people differently. But he does value Marriage and says when you find a Wife you've found a good thing. He wants you to be Equally Yoked. That's Good because God Always has someone Better for you. God wants you to be with someone that is Loving and caring. That support his spouse. God will have the final say so.But he does want you to be married because its scared. Awesome!!!

I have a crush on the new seminary guy at my church. I haven’t talked to him, but I really want to. He’s REALLY attractive, so if he’s not in a relationship, I would be surprised, but I LOVE hearing talk when he does the readings and when he did the children’s message this past Sunday. I’ve been writing in a one of my journals to God, telling Him that I want to know the cute seminary guy’s name, I want to talk to him/find out if he’s in a relationship, and this past Sunday, I finally got to know his name. I could choose between a Christian guy and a non-Christian guy. The last one was very negative about Christianity but kind of attracted me so much. It was joy all the time. The first one was a Christian, such a good guy and reliable, but on the other hand kind of boring. I really had to make a choice between them and although the agnostic guy seemed much more likeable and loved party, s and a happy life I chose the Christian guy. Because he believes and in the end I find my Christian religion so much more important than a life with partying, sex with many women and couples etc. He had no boundaries in that aspect. And he laughed about my Christianity because he was convinced that it was the best to only believe in yourself. He stood no open for my religion. That was a hard one for me and so I chose the Christian guy, although boring. I still pray to my Father the good Lord if this is the best choice for me. Regards from the Netherlands
