I am really interested in what Bethany said about praying to God about your relationship and naturally drawing closer to each other. That was God confirming that Mark was the one. I had an experience where the more I prayed to God about a relationship, the more I noticed little things about the guy that I didn't like. Some things like skipping a Sunday service or lack of motivation to read the Bible with me confirmed to me that he was not the one. God will open your eyes if you ask, but you also must be willing to see the truth.

To be equally yoked, as I see it, is not only 2 people to have the same religious belief (as Christians = both Christ followers). I think there has to be common goals, perspective and thought. Like Bethany said, you have to "fit" together. You both were wise to first consult with God regarding each other-most will consult their emotions instead and end up miserable in the long run. I think it's very interesting that I am in a relationship with a boy who is basically the opposite of me. Our interests are very different. Still what remains the same is where we came from. We both have three siblings and grew up in families that weren't rich. Our childhood has many paralleles and that is what formed us to fit together. Same interests aren't always good signs. It's the whole thing, the things you experienced and the things you wish for your future. Because of our childhood we are sure that we want to safe a lot of the money we earn to give it to our children later on. For example for musical education or for hobbies. God prepares you for marriage your whole life. Every situation makes you smarter and more thoughtful. I want to encourag you to have a triangle relationship with you and your partner as basement and God as the top. God can help you solving every single problem. Much love!

If you agree on everything, you have nothing to talk about. But if you disagree on everything you will always be fighting. If you never fight, that's NOT healthy, if you're always fighting, that's not healthy either. There are only 3 things God tells you to look out for in choosing your mate. 1)The person must be Born Again. 2) The person must be of the opposite sex. 3)The persona must be single, divorced, or a widow. If the person you choose meets all these requirements, now it's your choice. For example: You can find someone who meets all these requirements, but he/she has a very bad temper, when they get upset, they throw things across the room. That would be a bad choice. A very tall woman can meet a guy who meets all these requirements, only problem is, the guy is short. Well most women will turn that down. Sex: You better get on the topic of sex sometime in the early stage of the relationship. You might NOT be compatible sexually. You partner might want to do things you find to be an abomination. Or the woman might have a very high sex drive and the man has a problem, he can't get it up. Money: Talk about money and it's use. I've seen the 3 major fights have been on: Sex, Money, In-laws. I’ve taken a survey over the years. Adam always recognizes his Eve pretty immediately: 2 weeks or less. So to summarize: For Eve: Confirmation equals feeling closer to Adam by drawing closer to God. UKVATO prayer does work...you have to have faith...if you aren't having faith then it won't happen...you have to believe it will happen at the right time when you guys are both ready. I know because I'm waiting as well. And if this is God's will for your life to get married....seek and ask God if he wants you to be married or single...he will help you where you struggle...but if marriage is in your future then you must prepare for it. And pray your future wife that God keeps her and pray for your marriage and possibly a family. Pray that you are prepared to be a husband because you don't want to be in a premature marriage. Things that should not have been hard will be hard. So let God lead you and let him show you his will...seek him daily not for just a wife but to spend time with him...you have to be able to spiritually lead your family as a man or young man.

Great question SWC. I do not believe there is one person for everyone. I've seen too many good people live and die without ever finding the one. Not picky people who dismissed potential mates over small discrepancies, but people truly searching and willing but never having any opportunities. And I've seen people whose spouses have died, and they remarried. So there can't be just one.

Every time I am trying to take things farther with someone, I feel God is holding me back and not allowing my conscience to be at peace with it. I agree 💯% with everything that you both shared!!! When you both put God 1st, it will ALWAYS draws you closer to the one God has for you! Same values, life goals & I think it’s so important to remember that even when God joins 2 together that you’re still individuals. You have hobbies or passions that are yours but you also share enough that are similar so you can really enjoy each other’s company. Be a support for your spouse’s hobbies & passions that are part of their individuality. Give & take. Time together & time apart with friends or by yourself. When you’re healthy in Jesus, time apart won’t cause fear, jealousy or anger. There will be peace, trust & just an anticipation to share your experiences with your spouse & enjoy them even more when you reunite.

God confirmed it in multiple ways for us. I prayed that he God would confirm to me that he was the one he did. I looked at my Bible realized that I wrote down a list of who I wanted in a husband and that was Levi. I prayed that God would confirm to Levi that be would know. He was at work. When a lady said she heard from the Lord. She asked him if he was married he said no but I am considering proposing to my girlfriend. She said she's the one..shes one from God. You are are going to fight but you will be okay you will have a girl and a boy. Many more signs God used to confirm to us. April 7th 2021 we will be married praise the Lord. I would like to ask for prayer for trusting I sometimes get upset and idolize my fiance. The Lord is helping me get closer and true in him..

Congratulations for your marriage..i think i found my soul mate..he completely makes me laugh... makes so much sense..when im loving an thinking of him..lets just call him luke💗I was waking up early mornings to my Bible studies with happiness..im so much more into my Word..loving him i feel complete am so ready to surrender all this freedom even happy to...ive completely fasted from all relationship activities the past 3 yrs after lookin at him..ive prayed that my desire only be for my husband and can't control my feelings even tho i have lots an lots trying for my affection.....thank you so much..i struggle because he may not feel this way an i feel.silly at times..he doesn't need me he can have what he wants w/o me im sure....

I had something crazy happen to me today... and I wanted to hear your opinion. I go to bibleschool, and today there was a gathering between the first-years and second-year students + some people that was invited by their friends. Some time into the meating we all split up in groups of three, to pray for profetic words etc... to every person in that group, and I got peard up with two girls I had not met, they bouth where friends, one girl is in the second-year of bible school (I will call her sophie), and the other girl (I will call her tomine) got invited by Sophie. To get to the point; first we(me and tomine) prayed for sophie, all well and good so far, we both got some words of inspiration to share and we did. Then they prayed for me... same deal. BUT when we started to pray for Tomine, I suddenly got a voice in my head that told me to marry her... I know thats crazy... and so I emediatly tried to fight back against it, but it just came back stronger and stronger... When we where done praying I did not say anything about what I heard, I was way to shy... We broke up the group and we started to worship with the rest of the people there... But the inclanation to say what I was given did not leave me, it only grew stronger, my heart started to beat harder and harder... I even started crying (something I never do, last time was was probably like 6-7 years ago). And I soon realised I could not NOT tell her, If I would not do it I would never forgive myself. As the first break came around, I called my family just to give it some "air". So when the time came for the second break in the gathering/meeting. I asked if I could talk with here alone. And I basicly told her what I told you; "this is going to sound crazy but..." I also told here that I wanted to be carefull not moving too quickly forward, because its just so crazy and the last thing I want is to be manipulative. I want it to be genuine. The reason I commented here is because she has a boyfriend, they are both 19 years old, I am 22, I think they have been together for 2-3 years... but I dont got any other info. When I was done telling her about all this stuff. (She also told me she had a boyfriend) I asked if she would give me her number and if she would be ok with us talking more about this... and she agreed. We will probably meet after a week or so ... for now we are friends. At least I dont have this waying down on my chest anymore. :) I will probably tell this to my pastor and/or my teacher as well. Any and all feedback is welcome, this is all really raw (it happend today) and I will of course pray to God for more guidens. I should also mention God has called me to marry before this happend, I just didnt know who. ... so yesterday I tried to make it BUT with my own work, I had not let God into the prosses, but god stopet it today (my relationship to that girl was just about to transition from friend to intrestead)... so in other words the timing was perfect. --- PS sorry for the long comment and any bad grammar :)
