It was pretty close in person, I think the heat ups the pressure in the can for sure!!!

It looked to me like it went down smoother too. But it always amazes me how paint looks better than I think it will when it dries.

I always warm up cans in a bucket of hot water before I spray. The paint definitely flows better and levels better, and way less spitting from the can. In my experience. Good video, AC!

Thank you, I talked to my buddy that has a paint store and he said the heat makes the pressure rise in the can thats what he said makes it a little better spraying.

Done it plenty and always flowed faster and laid down smooth.

@ one ole boy took a plastic ink pen apart and put the small end over the paint can straw after removing the nozzle then turned it upside down over his paint gun cup he put some pressure on it then filled his cup to his desired level .. before that he took a wood screw and poked a hole in the can close to the nozzle then he turned it upside down and put the paint in his cup . His gun sprayed way better than the can does .

GT'S Performance on KZbin. He does a lot pf pearls with Rustoleum. Paint does look better sprayed with a HVLP gun. He gets between 6 and 7 ounces of paint per regular Rustoleum can.

@@BigBlueMotors yes thats the one … whitley auto works is a 3rd one that I’ve been watching and learning from … i enjoy watching their videos and learning as much as i do painting my ole hot rods . Id bet im 300 videos in between the 3 lol

@@glennramsey917 Also watch Whitley. He hit it out of the park with his two tone, full truck paint job. I wish he would spray his pearl with an intercoat and top with a clear, as GT Performance does. It does make a big difference.

I will say that this does work, for sure, with a standard spray can, in colder weather.. And if you use Plasti-Dip much, it 100% lays out better, heated; even in the summer time (for me, anyhoo.)

You do not /need/ to warm them, I painted my trunklid when it was 43 or 46 degrees and while it stayed darker than the rest of the car for a few days, now it looks perfect. Scuffed and shot with 400 and it laid as flat as the rest of the car which was painted in the 60/70 degree days. The trick is to shake the can until you're bored, and then shake it some more upside down. I almost made me a hose clamp/sawzall shaker but by hand went okay
@ACDesignsGarage17 сағат бұрын
I agree, I can spray the regular cans and they lay flat, I use the turbo can and it has a ton of peel. I say it's the amount of paint my self lol
