If you’re anywhere other than the USA, Etsy has become a waste of time and money since the change on October 1. I’ve followed all your advice and made all the changes, and it’s made absolutely no difference. I’m not sure if the traffic is down or if Etsy has done a ‘reset’ on our shops, deleting all the sales history, but somethings not right.

Agree. Something seriously is wrong. Things should have picked up by now, but it hasent, and something about this lasts update feels different. Feels like Etsy has ruined itself.

Hi Geraldine, yes performance in general is down at the moment, I am seeing this in the work I do. The election caused a big slump in orders across stores I am tracking, and we still haven't come out of it yet.

A lot are down, yes. There are multiple reasons for this, the 3 biggest are Etsy's flat performance this year, the economy/global frailties, and the election.

I find that when I post a lot it seems that three days later I get a huge boost in sales. Not particularly for the new items, but in general.

I list 'as I make'..so 1 new listing every 3 days or so. Being in Australia I never think in terms of timing, just as I can. Being physical products and slowly building up my followers, has helped. Im lucky as I never intended to make a living from Etsy, but that comes with time I presume. 😊

I started to list more. I listed more than one a day because I’m selling supplies and have a lot to list still but I’m trying to be more consistent than I was and normally I don’t get any sales in October through December and I have been. 😀

I've been following your advice since I've pivoted my store to another niche, and have done quite well (I think). However, never once did I think the time of day that I listed had any affect on views or, more importantly, sales.

Im in Australia I've had my POD store on Etsy for about 3mths I'm up to 30 listings so far, priced competitively free shipping to America, good descriptions, videos on each listing, good keywords but nothing only 1 to 3 views a day, only a couple of scam messages is all the fruits of my labor so far..😢

Hiya from SA. I have a physical shop and this is my busy time of the year. My sales are doing well ( not astromical ) steady and regular. I have been 'open' for 18 months and slowly built up a following and 'return ' customers. Just give it time.

I hate instagram. They had me automatically following ppl i didn't know but never a follow back from said ppl. So basically i built up their numbers but not mine. And i had too waste my time deleting them when i should have been working on my own account.

Hi Nick, I'm a new digital art store and lately I've seen more people favourite my listings but not necessary convert into sales. I've lowered the price lately but doesn't seem to work. What can I do to improve the conversion?

My shop is normally extremely busy right now. I’ve had a handful of sales. Somethings not right. There are many sellers saying the exact same thing. Thank god I don’t rely on Etsy to make a living. I would be very concerned for people that do.

This is my full-time income. I'm in the UK. Normally, I'm rushed off my feet, but it's completely quiet. There are a few sales trickle in, but it's like my shop isn't visible anymore. I have a fully optimised shop, always took care of all the details like videos and policys etc. 5 star everything, too, so when they first started rolling out the search visibility, I was told my shop was 'built for succes!' I'm deeply concerned. Even my ads are not performing like they used to, they are not touching my ad limits. The traffic is all but dried up.

Does selling an item and ot relists count towards being active? Or just a new posting?

I've remained consistent with my listing plan. At least x3 weekly. What I've found since October 1st changes is new listings are getting literally zero views, however renewed listings are getting more views 🤷🏿‍♀️ I'm wondering if the little boost that you use to get with a new listing has been paused? I'm sure with all these changes, Etsy is just trying to filter out all the negative noise, scammers, in general the tyre kickers, leaving only the committed and the serious.

What would be the impact on my store if I missed a few days of posting in my new Etsy shop? I am at the beginning of my journey, but I was having some internet issues and was unable to post every day. I am continuing to post, but I have some gaps in consistency. Will this negatively impact my store?

It's tough, take a break when needed and recharge, and try to keep listing when you can.
