This was an inspiration of the moment. We created the plug-in in two days and thought it would be a lot of fun to release it for free. It is the beginning of a new series of plug-ins. Simple, cheap and helpful.

Not to troll or anything really, its just that i hate processing, plus the only sound i am like to hear is the sound coming from the speakers from my amp and guitar everything else can go away please thanks. . . although the goblyn does have a great quality to the sound.

Neat amp sim. Haven’t had the opportunity to try it out yet, although I have downloaded it. Also picked up the eq plugin, but that seems to be broken which sucks, because I was actually kind of stoked on that one.

This is IMO one of the most realistic feeling free amp sims out there. There's no doubt in my mind that Aurora DSP's amp modeling is some of the best there are. I love my Neural DSP plug-ins, but Aurora is up there with them.The built-in IRs could be better so you have to use your own to really hear the true potential of this plug-in. Love it!

From the very short amount of time I have tested it, I would have to agree. It adds less of the over the top digital high end hiss that other plug-ins do. Feels natural, if it makes sense.

@@padraig88 What really convinced me is that it feels like it reacts in the same way an amp does. Many amp sims sound okay in a mix, but they don't give you a real amp feel when you play through them. Neural DSP, Aurora, Strymon and Fractal have all achieved this amp like response. I haven't played a Kemper enough to say if they also feel like this, but most people claim that it does.

When the Goblyn came out, it got me really curious and excited, so I ended up dropping my bass for 2 weeks and now I'm making a Death Metal song. It's a light and free plugin that you just can't fuck up with and it does all the processing from pre-amp to distortion to IR. Only things I had to add for a good tone were: pre-compressor, noise gate, [Goblyn], post-compressor, delay.

The UI sucks IMO. (Just to clarify, I m not talking about the look, but rather the usability) Tried it last week, couldn't even find the gain knob, thought it didn't exist lol. Just looked like a logo to me.

It’s better if you prefer 5150 tone. Hector is love it or hate it. DS suite will be more friendly :)) with oversized cabinets, cleans, modern gains…..
