In Germany we have a TV show called "Ernährungsdocs" (nutrition doctors) where specialists treat patients with severe illness who could not be helped by "normal" medicine. (Before that there was also "Bewegungsdocs - movement doctors.) They completely overhaul your food. It takes a while - the patients are generally there for half a year - but the results are astounding. If e.g. their pain halves that is actually a bad result. Some go home (nearly) free of their problem, which they sometimes had for decades. Some of those treatements go back to old knowledge both from folk cures in Europe but also chinese medicine. The "Eastern" way of preventative treatment should get more emphasize but since it generally involves changing your habits, people are reluctant (and fail). That said, everyone who treats e.g. a tumor with only teas is a scammer. But Eastern medicine can help alleviate the unwanted side effects of e.g. a radiation treatment.

I will have to check out that show, sounds interesting! I agree! Relying on eastern medicine to cure cancer is just not possible. I personally know someone who did that and unfortunately, it was too late. Moderation and a well balanced lifestyle is key!

Mine is ridged on both sides, but VERY pink underneath. I'm quite surprised about that Not the same thing, but this reminds me of when I had really bad health as an exchange student in France. I was given homeopathic remedies for 3 days or so and I feel very much like they helped a great deal. I know the UK has Chinese herbalists galore, but no idea if they have Kanpo practicioners
