The year my husband spent dying, we read a lot of Buddhism. I, as an extremely reformed Jew, hadn’t thought much about reincarnation, but I loved the concept and just recently discovered the tradition in Judaism. Wow. I’m a (former) humanities scholar and skeptic, but somehow (while acknowledging my wishful thinking) it still makes more sense to me than anything else. So, Bill, in his hospital bed, laughingly agreed to wear seersucker suits in the next life so I’d be sure to recognize him. Now I wonder: does a soul necessarily re-embody on planet Earth? And when?

Not necessarily, no. There are great many planes of existence different from human one and where one gets reborn depends entirely on their karma. Well at least this is what Lord Buddha says.

Great knowledge thanks!!! I am not a Jewish but have a lot of respect for Jews because of their open mindedness to accept a spiritual concept. The software hardware analogy was really interesting being a student of Buddhism I can very well relate this with Alaya-Vijnana meaning storehouse consciousness of a soul. However fundamentally Buddhism rejects any concept of self (or soul) primarily because that's not true self it's conditioned and gets merged in Primordial nature that's our true self, this can very well be related with Ein Sof of Kabbalah. Ein Sof which is within and outside of the creation. Thanks for the knowledge Rabbi

I remember getting meat every couple of weeks to couple of months, usually every couple of weeks I’d get a piece of beef the size of a “mc donalds chicken strip”, it was the highlight of the month. I died in my late 80s. I only know this because I had a strong flashback but it confused and kinda scared me because it was more of a memory so I try to forget. In the light of the bible, such a philosophy doesn't exist Most probably your interests in rebirth & oriental thinking are playing tricks on your mind. My thoughts are that it’s referencing the concept of the solar body, which is the body you keep that your solar consciousness (sometimes referred to as god consciousness or christ consciousness) merges with to live forever. I highly suggest listening to Duncan trusses family hour podcast with Damien Echols (episode 314) which talks about this. It opened up my mind to everything and made me realize we are all connected. I recently left the traditional Christian faith and believe in Jesus as a prophet that combines east and west religious philosophy help people connect to God in a different way. I believe the Bible became HEAVILY skewed for political reasons by the Romans and much of the message was lost, both in translation and partially on purpose (my assumption). I believe the eternal death he was talking about it reincarnation, and the eternal life is leaving the cycle altogether

Romans 6:7 7For the one who has died has been acquitted from his sin. has been acquitted: Or “has been released (pardoned).” Lit., “has been justified.” The Greek word di·kai·oʹo used here is often rendered “to declare righteous.” The context shows that Paul was discussing spirit-anointed Christians alive at that time. They had been baptized into Christ Jesus and had received the valid prospect of heavenly life. However, in order to be anointed with holy spirit and accepted as spirit-begotten sons of God, they had to die figuratively to their former course of life as imperfect humans and have their sins forgiven by God. Then they could have human perfection imputed to them. In discussing this with regard to anointed Christians, Paul was drawing on a fundamental truth. He knew that the penalty for Adam’s sin was death. (Ge 2:17) So Paul reasons that one who has died has been acquitted from sin because by means of his death, he has paid the full penalty for sin. At Ro 6:23, Paul says: “The wages sin pays is death.” So when a person has died, his sinful record no longer stands against him. And if it were not for Jesus’ sacrifice and God’s purpose to resurrect the person, he would never live again. Still, he would remain acquitted from sin, since God would not reexamine his case and then sentence him to further punishment. Basis for judgment. In describing what will take place on earth during the time of judgment, Revelation 20:12 says that the resurrected dead will then be “judged out of those things written in the scrolls according to their deeds.” Those resurrected will not be judged on the basis of the works done in their former life, because the rule at Romans 6:7 says: “He who has died has been acquitted from his sin.”

The concept of god in Hinduism varies in its diverse traditions. Some can call them "sects" and can vary from major or minor.. The majority find a god in every living being and everyone/thing to be the same... The reality is that there is only one Creator God. He is the maker of the universe. The Bible states God is the only One True God that created the Heavens and Earth. You see, most people in the West think if God and Heaven are real, they are surely on their way to Heaven. When asked why, they often respond with, “I’m a good person!” When asked if they think their friends are going to Heaven, they think they are going also because “He’s a good Buddhist,” or a good Jew, or Hindu, or Muslim! Research has shown that 70% of religious Americans believe that many religions can lead to everlasting life. This view is dangerously incorrect because NOT one person is "good". The Bible states that we have ALL sinned and have come SHORT of the glory of God. Meaning, anyone reading this KNOWS that they have lied, stolen, coveted, etc... This is WHY Yeshua CAME... Yeshua is the only one way to everlasting life-a relationship with Yeshua, mankind’s only Savior (John 14:6; Acts 4:12). John 14:6 is found in the Second Testament of the Holy Scriptures. These scriptures state that there is only ONE way to our heavenly Father, and this is through His Precious Son Jesus. I would like to point out that there are many Jews that practice Judaism do not believe there is a Trinity but only ABBA -Our Father. We can see this error in many scriptures. For the sake of time and space, I would like to share Gen 1-26 - It does NOT matter which version, whether the Torah OR the Holy Bible, they say the same; 26 Then God said, “Let US make mankind in our image, in our likeness, so that they may rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky, over the livestock and all the wild animals, and over all the creatures that move along the ground.” IF its only Him /Creator God, why would He pluralize himself? thousands of years later we read about Christ, before he was sent by our Creator-God we see the prophet Isaiah giving the prophecy about Jesus in Isaiah 53, Please read it. You see, there is NO need for reincarnation. The TORAH and/or the Holy scriptures do NOT refer to it. God is a GREAT and BEATIFUL Father and God, HE GAVE us his MOST precious gift which was his ONLY Begotten Son; Yeshua to redeem MAN back our Creator God. John 3:16 states; For God SO LOVED the WORLD that He GAVE His only Begotten Son Yeshua that whom SO EVER may believe in HIM shall NOT DIE but have EVERY LASTING LIFE!!! Every lasting life reigning with Our Creator for ever and ever! You see? There is NO need for the falsehood of reincarnation. IF you accept Yeshua as your personal Saviour and Lord and you live for HIM, you will live with Him forever. Yeshua did NOT die in vane! HE DIED for the remission of our sin(S) , which then restores our relationship with God/our Creator and Father which was lost due to what happened at the Garden of Eden. Due to Adam and Eve's disobedience the relationship (with man and God) was hindered. Christ came to RESTORE !! I DO hope this makes sense! You MUST REJOICE as HE loves YOU and ALL of us!! :) (Mark 10:18)
