Out in California, we started getting a lot more of those "build your own pizza" places. You do end up with some nice ones for about $15 as long as the people cooking the pizza don't mishandle it.

They use wayyyyyyyy too much single-use plastic in the packaging though. One of the highest consumers of it in the world. I live here in Korea too and it's absurd how much comes with delivery. Cans of soda come in little plastic bags lmao.

@@jack72628 umm no. Korea has one the highest recycle rates in the world - over a 60% recycle and composting rate. America on the other hand is one the worst, less than 5%! Not only that, Americans produce almost 2-3 times more waste per household. America is terrible. Trust me, I've lived in america all my life but I've been to Korea for a few months and the care put into recycling in Korea is mind-blowing - every item is meticulously separated. Anways, I hate to be there bearer of bad news, but what you put in the garbage in america has probably never seen any recycling. It's disgusting how much waste and pollution is produced by americans.

10:30 that’s a somewhat common practice called perpetual stew. Stews and broths have been cooked everyday for decades which kills off potential bacteria and adds flavor allegedly.

I almost choked on nyeongmyeon at a korean restaurant. The lady asked if I wanted them cut beforehand but I don't want short noods. But now I realized that that was a wiser choice. Those cold noodles surely can kill

Used to work at a Pizza Hut in the US. If that pizza is a large, it looks like they took a medium dough round and stretched it to fit the large hand-tossed pan. It was actually a menu item for a while, called a "skinny slice" because technically each piece had fewer calories. Anyway, it's a cost saving measure so I'm sure they're doing it lol Also doesn't look like the freshest dough but it was delivered so it's got that "I sat in a warmer for a bit too long" look.

For the dipping sauce taste delicious. Seafood especially fish. Light soy sauce (premium japanese sushi dipping), Fried Garlic (chopped), chopped green onion, chopped parsley. Pour hot garlic oil. Mix everything together. If you want spicy, add wasabi (not recommended, personal choice). I would replace with mince ginger (taste better)

First time viewer here and so far I am digging your video. I have one bit of unwarranted advise, you can do with it what you want. On the part with the pizza, I would have liked to know more about the toppings. I can kind of tell what some of them are, hot dog, pepperoni, black olive but there are some sauces and other toppings that I cannot name. It looks really good and makes me wish there was a pizza available in the states that had those toppings. So what I am saying is maybe just spend a minute or less going over the ingredients on the pizza or don't it's completely up to you. Anyhow I have started rambling so that's enough from me, now I am hungry.

I would probably myself only eat the pizza and jjajangmeon but all the food was presented so well. I was most impressed with the freshness of the sashimi & pork dishes. We do not eat well here in the U.S. ☹ which is why I am a good cook 😉 but after all this rich food a trip to the outdoor gym 🐈 with sashimi in my pockets would keep me healthy 😁

Food in Korea is so cheap. I literally had a set meal for 12 dollars, and it came with: clay pot hot soup, beef bulgogi, rice, about 15 different side dishes, and the side dishes were unlimited. The restaurant also gave out one free spicy marinated raw crab as a bonus. Koreans call it “service” and it translates to: “it’s on the house.” The food were so good!

I don‘t know if the fried chicken is better than the fried chicken that David makes - it has the best glaze ever (also a sticky version, a dry version and a version with parmesan in the batter). I can‘t go right now because I‘m pregnant and I know if I go and order it, there will be another drinking game. Last time I went, we had three bottles of soju and a few shots in the beer. I don‘t know what it‘s called anymore, it‘s been this long. I slept really well that night. No hangover, like always, but still.

chojang sounds like it would mean "stinky sauce". Since a lot of korean words derived from chinese words, "chou" is "smelly" in chinese so I thought chojang would mean stinky sauce. lol
