No you are just bullshitting yourself. I did drugs for a couple months while partying but then i cut it off. The only benefit for me was when i was 22 i smoked weed and had a horrible trip where i experienced oneness, eternity and ohm. It helped to push me on the spiritual path because it was such a shock and now almost 10 years later i meditate a lot, do yoga, dont drink alcohol etc If you continually use it it will destroy it. Seeing a lot of friends now, even those that use it occassionally, they look empty in the face and do not laugh or smile like they used to. Life may have hardened me up, but i am finding i feel far more content and accepting and i can still laugh a lot more easily. My personel experience of being shocked my smoking weed once, and then stopping, that was beneficial. Continually smoking, and justifying this way is damaging. If you go through horrible experiences, and fall into the addiction trap and have to use drugs, the sooner you pull yourself out of this lifestyle the better.

I appreciate the kind words. I am currently not using any medicines except digestive enzymes. There is a wide variety of reasons and motives behind different individuals’ use of psychedelic plants. These plants seemed to play a critical role in turning me from a masturbating, savage meat eater i to whatever I am today. I can tell they would do the same for MANY MANY people. You can’t approach many people in my society and say “trust me, eating vegetarian is better”. or “trust me just sit down close your eyes and breathe” and the person would change their diet forever or start a lifelong meditation practice. A psychedelic experience can give a person real, authentic proof that higher states of perception and bliss are possible, inspiring them to try and institute lifelong changes. That’s the positive light I choose to behold these psychedelic plants in. What I am, whether I am bullshitting myself or not, is for you to decide.

This is such a simplistic take. We are dependent on air to live. We are dependent on medicine to get better. The assumption is that the only way to use drugs is to be chasing a high from a place of addiction. But that is purely an entry-level stage one relationship with them. There are far more powerful ways to be in relationship with these substances which have nothing to do with chasing euphoric states but exploring the inner psyche from a greater place of clarity so that regular life is positively impacted.

I meditate with it in the morning to bring me closer to the truth within myself. I'm not always happy but that has nothing to do with these sacred plants, the pain comes from trauma that I'm healing thanks to these sacred medicines. I say, instead of following a guru you listen to the wisdom within first. You figure out what is good for you. Having said that anything can be misused and abused, so be wise my friend, everyone is different, with different traumas, so these medicines should be treated with respect. It's not for everyone because it depends on your understanding and awareness, your state of mind. Look into your own mind first, your own wisdom, then use tools to help. be ware and be aware.

"there is nothing either good or bad, but thinking makes it so". The key is moderation. Anything can have a negative effect on the body and mind; for example fruits are good but if you eat too much them it can have a negative effect on the body and if you're diabetic, well that will be even worse. Those things that can be beneficial (such as science is learning about weed), can also come with negative consequences, when over used or used by someone with a body chemistry and psychology that reacts to the plant in a negative way. Indigenous peoples have been using weed and other plant medicines for hundreds of years, with positive results but they use it with intention. I'm not saying that there is anything wrong with the recreational use of it; nothing wrong with pleasure. There are so many different perspective on this subject but best to experience directly and see for yourself and do what's good for you. The wisdom and intelligence is within you.

Cannabis has many medicinal benefits; out of all drugs, it is the least harmful when consumed recreationally. The important thing to remember is that cannabis should be consumed in moderation to fully reap its benefits.

I have tried psychedelics and believe that they can be a way to help one see through the veil. But, in the same way that you can pick up the phone and receive 'the message', you do not need to keep picking up the phone to receive the message. 🙏

I wrote a post and it was deleted. Beware of where you place your faith. The essentials of the 8th+9th jhanas are never taught by these teachers, and they are important to know for anyone truly interested in spiritual development.

@@chadkline4268 yeah at the end of the day a tool can get you only so far, they are most helpful if you are in a particularly bad starting point I'd say, they get you moving at a quicker pace, then it's up to you.

Psychedelics are powerful and they have so much potential and have helped many. However The Mystical Experience that comes Directly straight from Spirit is way more Powerful!! Psychedelics pale in comparison. The Spiritual Experience straight from Spirit is on another whole level. And It's Free!! Just Be Still and look Within!!

Ganja can certainly make you feel in bliss, in love, and exuberantly joyful. Depends on your motivation for doing it. As an escape, can certainly help if the world is beating you down. I wonder if this guru has ever even tried it. He sounds like he never has.

It depends on how you see it. I tried meditation sober, and I couldn't tell anything. I tried an edible and did the meditation again the next day, and it was unbelievable. I kept seeing this white light that showed me a lovely house on a farm or on some huge piece of land and too me it was unbelievable almost like it was trying to show me my future.

You can be addicted to anything. What are these negative side effects he speaks of? He's not wrong about addiction controlling you. Yet it's obvious he's making broad judgments and doesn't actually know anything about Marijuana. Is it right for everyone... no. His limited view just makes me discount anything else he's going to say. Maybe it's more the fact that he's speaking via ego rather than truth. Does it enhance your life, without harming yourself or others? If yes, continue to do it.

I agree about weed. But I have to say, largest side effect of taking psychedelics for me was my initiation into my spiritual path...
@namelessnick97913 жыл бұрын
It just so happens that most people who consume weed probably over do it. But if you moderate your usage of it and take it more as a tool rather than a recreational drug it can be quite beneficial. For example, I sometimes smoke a little bit of pot before a workout and I often perform a lot better because my mind body connection is a lot stronger. But if u use it to go out and party or just sit and play video games (which I have also done) it can make you rather unproductive. So although I agree that marijuana addiction is real and can probably damage your life, if you moderate usage it can be quite a helpful and healing substance.

What kind of workout? If it's like gymnastics I would agree but for powerlifts or raw strenght it makes you feel weaker for sure. Even though it improves your propioception it makes you weaker, I can notice my workouts becoming lighter after I stop vaping in just a day or two.
