Good to see the one tool many tasks rule applied. You need a battery powered grease gun, I love mine as you can hold the head on the nipple firmly especially in awkward spots/angles with one hand and squeeze the trigger with the other hand instead of trying hold the head and pump the gun with only one hand.

We have a few electric ones but sometimes for bearing I like to feel it👍 for the d11s though electric grease guns are the go😂😁

The long wheel studs on the Boss drill presswheels reminds of the long wheel studs the classic rally cars use. The rally car rear wheels often have two nuts per stud to hold the wheel on. Seeing the price for various used air carts listed on the used farm machinery websites, it is easy appreciate why it is a very good idea to take exceptional care of the air cart the farm already operates.

If damaged threads are a concern you could put a second nut on each stud to protect them. Might be a bit of a pain though when it comes time to remove them. Alternatively you might be able to replace the wheel nuts with something like a hex-sided union used to join two pieces of threaded rod together assuming the nuts have a flat base on them and are not beveled like automotive wheel nuts.

Hi guys, just a question, when working on the wheel bearings, i assume the seeder is lifted up by hydraulics, is there any risk of coming down unexpectedly when working under it when lifted? Is there a mechanism to lock it in place, or do you chock it up, or maybe there is so many hydraulic pistons holding it up, the chance of failure is virtually impossible. I was just thinking when i jack my car up to work under, i was always told to put solid jacks in place of the hydraulic jack just for safety. Love your work, always watch your clips, and learn so much from them, thanks for your channel😊

Thanks mate! Yep there are stands that you can put down, we don’t always as it’s fairly time consuming, there are 8 rams holding it up and if any hoses blow there is usually a small hole in the rams to stop them coming down to quick, very unlikely to cause an issue but for the sake of an extra 5 minutes we probably should use the stands👍😁
