I watch a fair number of family farmers videos. By far Jackson Brothers is the best. After them I’ll say Larson Farms. But for sheer entertainment and knowledge of a can do attitude towards any adversity, it is clearly Jackson Brothers. Plus, I do believe they are good Christians and have excellent family values. Great job and hats off to Matt for bringing these VLOG’s to life for us.

Beautiful old Inter Matt,, the acco, T line all the way. You have a great view from up where your yard is, our main city here in NEW ZEALAND keeps flooding and no one can understand it!! They built the bloody thing in a low spot! I love your family's common sense and achievements. Keep up the great work mate from New Zealand.

I guess it is too late to point out, however, the years as a seed production agronomist in me was a bit horrified at the amount of wheat seed on planter frame when switching to barley. When changing seeds just give the planter frame and box a good hose down with portable compressed air, and, better still, they make a vacuum cleaner attachment on it, works by Venturi, for cleaning out the box. Wheat in barley is a major contaminant if going for higher grade prices and ditto for barley in durum, one seed / ha rapidly becomes a couple of hundred plants in following years. I’ve seen a few.
@thejacksonbrothers Жыл бұрын
Hi mate! The barley is a clear field variety so we will be spraying out any wheat that does come up, but we do usually give them a blow down as well👍

Matt ,I noticed any precision driving with the forklift or Steiger , You don,t let Brad any where near the cab , after last weeks action shots of Brad driving the forklift .......

I'd love to see the Steiger with duals. If not then the only other option is pretty obvious....LSW 1400s, right?!! 😁

A uk farmer and KZbinr has made and marketed something called a “seed sock” it is a flat sheet that you lay on the round and empty the hopper into. It has loops in the corners so you can pick it up with the forklift and a shoot in the middle to empty it into a big bag. Don’t know if anybody in aus markets anything like that
@MT865 Жыл бұрын
The lights on the front of the Steiger need a good clean. Add that to the after seeding jobs.

You should try cutting the sides out of some old tires and placing them between the 2 tires if your not going at high speed the imbalance shouldn't matter to much. But they should fill the gap, be flexible but stop rocks.
@94Gidge Жыл бұрын

Any advantage in adding some water to the tyres ?
@thejacksonbrothers Жыл бұрын
Yep you certainly can but it creates other issues, a lot of old tractors run water in the tyres 😁

6x2 trucks should be banned from farms 🤣. We borrowed a 6x2 Hino from a mate to cart bales and it could, and did, get stuck on anything. When he showed us where the tow strap was we should have known. Going to get a sticker made for him to put on the truck "The Whale" as it likes to beach itself. Also if it can't be fixed with duct tape you aren't using enough tape.
