Dont do what they did though, I've fished that water before in a kayak and there are gators in that water and have had gators follow me after landing a fish. General rule in Florida is that if there is water there could a gator.

I lived in the Jacksonville area growing up and I caught lots of shrimp in the St. John’s river. There’s a tunnel that goes under the times union building and after a few hundred feet it opens up like a big half tube. Several boats can be there at the same time. We would fill coolers up in three hours. Big coolers.

I believe in the rattle but only in certain conditions. It works best for me in the morning, dusk, or if they are feeding. Other times it can scare the fish away. But every place is different.

Keep what you need and release the rest! You dont need to keep that many especially in such a small body of water. Not to mention the amount of pesticide and fertilizer runoff i wouldnt be eating fish anyways. Practice catch and release for the future fishery!

@@HeySkipper It is Guana Lake… it’s a non tidal lagoon that is considered a lake. Enjoy eating those pesticide infested fish anyways. If you can catch them due to over fishing and poaching there
