Try replacing your triblehooks with single in line hooks. Safer for you and the fish. Much easier to release the fish. Little difference in hookups.

Hey Skipper AWESOME Fishing! It has been years since I visited Florida. I've always go visited the Tampa Bay area and driven from Kansas during winter just to fish for red and sea trout. Due to my Military, I move every three years, so I'm now in the Pacific Northwest{ Oregon, Washington} and I loved catching salmon, sturgeon, and surf fishing for red tail perch. enjoy fishing and tight line.

I’ve spent my life fishing freshwater (pretty much every species) and when I was in South Carolina this past winter I saw a few people surf fishing. We are planning our trip to Florida/South Carolina for the month of January and I remembered the surf fishing. I’ve been watching all your videos so thank you for all that great advice and content. I have my 3 surf rods rigged, tried tie’ing my first high/low rig (I’ll be ordering a bunch from you before Christmas) and started playing with my drone today and copied your cheap drop clip (it works!). Never been more excited for the winter to come. 😀

Go to the reef and then you v will catch proper mangroves and C yellow tail!! Even the patch feefs produce big fish
