Fear was a tool used in organised religion to keep people in line and make it difficult to rebel. Yes, faith is required in odinani as one communes with unseen forces you'll have to have the faith that your petitions are being heard as well as living your life in a way that is pleasing to these forces to guard against their wrath as well as receive their blessings. But like you rightly pointed out, the difference lies in the degree to which it is used. Thanks for another beautiful lesson and topic.

Thank you for another great teaching my brother. The things you said about Odinala are not even Faith, in fact one can argue that most Of them are firmly rooted in science even reincarnation. Just that scientists in general do not want to acknowledge their limitations, but time has always proved Odinala to be the truth and baba of them all.

I agree. I stated in the end that most of the core tenets of Odinani are mainly logical. Thus, Faith in respect to Odinani is arguably inexistent. Meanwhile, thanks for watching and contributing.

Great video! Every religion or system of worship requires faith for it to work, faith is trust and you cannot achieve faith without sacrificing your resources. In Igbo traditional practice, whenever you commit any of your little resources your prayers is likely to be accepted or answered. Because sacrifice clearly shows you've fulfilled all righteousness, unlike some other religion like Christianity that believes their God's answers prayers at all times but that's not logically acceptable, and it's not advisable in Odinana for someone to pray to his Gods without committing any resource to the God. Always trust the Gods of your forefathers. That's the bottom line.
