Good video. At 82 years old, longevity is more important than being jacked. That said, I still lift, and I walk a lot. There is so much propaganda on the subject, mostly negative when it comes to red meat, that I don't know what to believe at this point. I have read that old farts like me need more protein, so I have been eating a lot of red meat. I also drink milk and have all my life and would rather bite the bullet than stop. No prostate problems. I appreciate what you guys have done here. Thank you.

I used to lift and was close to 300 lbs (was overweight) and consumed whey and cassein 6 times a day and lots of carbs and protein. I continue to lift, took up sprint training, changed my diet, now I don't consume carbs (besides whats in leafy vegetables and some nuts and seeds), consume 1.2 pounds of red meat (cow, lamb, liver) each day, 6 whole eggs 4 days, 16 eggs the each of the other 3 rest days of the week and fish twice a week. Lost 90 lbs, I'm building muscle faster, am stronger, faster, resting heart beat in 50s, lowered hypertension without medications, amoung other probs I had, all remedied.
@KenanTurkiye2 жыл бұрын
....ohhh and besides much better resting heart beat and normal range blood pressure, I get no joint pains unlike before. I used to wake up with elbow pains the night I had training, now I can do all my weekly tricep training volume with heavy skull crushers and JM presses if need be and still no complaints from the elbows. Basicaly the diet change has drasticaly diminished body/inflamation, and at my age and in contrast to how terrible they were, it's amazing.

My diet is predominately red meat and eggs. All my blood tests are in the healthy range. My total test was measured at 795 ng/dl 1.5 years ago when I was 36 in spite of sleep deprivation and heavy alcohol drinking at the time. I think eating lots of red meat, avoiding xeno-estrogens in plastics and such, and powerlifting help keep my levels high for my age. mid to late 30s mean test level is in the upper 300s to low 400s. After slacking in my diet, heavy drinking, and working out only once a week, I bought a crapton of beef from Butcher box, quit alcohol, and started working out like mad 10 days ago. I've been eating 3500-4000 calories a day of mostly animal products, and I've already gained 10 lbs in body weight with my bf % going from ~13% to 15%. My lifts increased 3-6% in that time. I just thrive on red meat.

I covered meat, but it is hard to afford much of the good steaks in our economy. But being a Southerner we will put just about anything on a grill. Lol. Just like the guys said just don't consume it in excess. Now that I am a type 2 Diabetic I eat all meat, I just have to watch which carbs I eat. I have noticed Doctors like to throw a pill at you instead of trying to correcting your diet. Good talk guys.

As long the required macro nutrients, vitamins & minerals are absorbed into your body (without side affects) then ultimately it doesn't matter whether they come exclusively from one of meat, plants, supplements or a combination of them all.

What about pre-existing cardiovascular disease? Millions of Americans have heart disease and are undiagnosed. I can't imagine recommending this diet to them. Your clients are mostly involved in fitness, but with the uptick of deaths from heart attacks in the fitness world these men and woman more than likely had pre-existing heart disease and all of them ate a large amount of meat. Hopefully your recommending getting a Calcium score and a EKG prior to starting this type of diet. High LDLs over low term are detrimental to heart attacks. The younger guys should be fine, but the older fitness people should get medically cleared. The issue is rarely do see any of the fitness people getting medically cleared. Primarily your viewership.

That's why it's important to keep a close eye on certain health markers while on this (or any for that matter) diet. All my health tests are in the health range and my test is 795 ng/dl (probably higher now that I quit alcohol and have been more consistent with diet and lifting.)
@powerliftercarnivorecoachedgr2 жыл бұрын
Sir, all my markers got better when I went on this carnivore diet. If any of your markers are bad, it's most more than likely from too many carbs and high insulin.
@billdublewhopper3064 Жыл бұрын
They won't talk about it. It is insanity to follow a meat diet with heart disease. There are many studies showing the arrest and reversal of heart disease with a whole food plant based diet with no oils.

Red meat and also chicken from a great source is not as unhealthy as mainstream media wants you to believe. Processed meats are bad, but almost all other processed foods are bad as well. Red meat and also fats should not be demonized. It is always about money. Thats the reason why some studies are tailored to favor certain outcomes. This Vegan and anti meat/anti fat agenda has to stop. The typical american diet is way worse than eating only red meat and eggs and animal products.
