I’m 65, and noticed at around 60 if I went over 315 bench, I’d eventually get hurt. Since then, I’ve been doing Hammer Strength for bench, incline, decline, and press to try to save the shoulders as I age. I also started doing a minute on the shoulder ergometer one way and a minute the other before I start.

Wonder if you ever considered yoga. It’d take an athlete like you to a new level, and re-define your notion of strength. There’s a reason pro athletes do it. Just sayin’.

Can i ask why you and also zahir are using flat shoes and not with heels. I dont know which to use. I tryed out both but dont know what is better for me. Iam stronger in hamstrings and hip than quads but since using heels i dont have hipshift

You are right. The moment something is ground means you will use less energy to digest it and that leads to obesity. It’s why the nova classification was created.

I did Captains of Crush, rice, hangs, farmers walks, but one of the best was towel hangs. Tie some towels to your pullup bars with sports or med tape. Holding a nine pound hammer vertically while you watch these videos can be a challenge, too.

Doing shrugs with over 400 and no wrist straps helps grip strength, too. Deadlifts as well.

That little plate for hyper extensions has me rolling. I started with a 45lb plate and once I warm up I put another 45 plate, squish them together and do hyperextensions.

Just got meniscectomy. Some other rehab doctor is saying working quads after meniscectomy is bad for the meniscus. Dam guy is basically taking leg day away. Is this really true? I am like what types of leg day can I even have anymore? KZbin is too much sometimes. Any help is greatly appreciated.

I've had 2 meniscus repairs. I was told on each occasion by the surgeon and the physio it was OK to squat and deadlift and they said get your legs as strong as possible. The only thing they said not to do was endurance stuff like running, for cardio do non wt bearing stuff like swimming or exercise bike.

Awesome guys. Very much appreciated. Hoping this surgery goes right with recovery. Can't wait to get back at it soon. Thanks again.

I have no meniscus and pretty bad osteoarthritis in one knee. I mostly do hack squats and leg press, but also do deadlifts and sumo deadlifts. No running. Quit climbing. Still hiking and rucking and mountain biking. Did that for ten years and am finally thinking of getting a total knee rebuild. I wanna climb again, do the Leadville 100, and quit getting beat in footraces by my granddaughters.

after 15 years of running, rucking, and nursing injuries, a patellar realignment surgery, then 5 years of PT with the wrong movement patterns...strange things start to happen to a man. A while back, a massage therapist left him a tip. Goata. Life will never the same. Thank God for dem Goata boys
