Not a leafs fan but I can say the culture of the team and the inability to score in the playoffs is the issue. Sheldon was not the reason they were Charmin. I hope berube cracks some heads in that room

People forget that they lost 2-1 in OT in game 7 with Samsonov in net. He wasn't prepared for that start either as he thought he was shelved. Boston had 31 or 32 shots. That's a pretty solid performance considering the circumstances.

Man, Samsonov is not a bad goalie at all. I agree, he's likely not the guy to take any particular team to the promise land, but he is a legitimate NHL starter. He will get a job for sure. I don't think the guy who signs him will be a bozo either.

Man Canadian Markets are soooo out of touch with NJ.. NJ's ownership has never been cheap. They've always been very clear that they'll spend whatever they need (and they have), The owners own 3 professional sports teams and are billionaires. Hell, NJ's ownership group is worth $12 Billion and Toronto's is worth $8 Billion so their owners have more money than the leafs do. NJ is the 12th most valuable team in the league at $1.5 billion. They're ahead of the Canucks, flames, Penguins, Lightning, etc. Yeah the Toronto market is bigger, but that just means the media is more annoying to be around. I'd take more money, a better team, and a quieter media any day of the week.

Lundqvist never won a Cup like Weekes, but he was miles better than Weeksy saying that I was at the Rangers game when Leafs won 9-2 and he only gave up 1 goal I was astonished we didn’t put 5 past him he was usually a sieve and couldn’t stop 🛑 a beachball but it was King Henrik who had the off night conceding 8 goals and the Odog even got on the board with a 2pt night a goal and a helper in 15mins

Taking what Weeksy saying with a pinch of salt, Not MT he’s one player who like Matthews in playoffs last season had zero goals in that series, it’s Reinhart Bennett Verheghe going off in the playoffs and team D and Sergei Bob playing up to his 2 Vezina’s and for some reason Maurice has turned into Scotty Bowman never did for the Leafs or the Jets maybe he’s learnt from all the playoffs losses 🤔 Dallas are winning this SC! Unless Ottenger gets injured!

NJ is a much bigger market than Toronto, the difference is the Leafs are a big fish in a small pond there. NY metro market doesn’t care about hockey. The Rangers are in the semifinals and the city’s barely noticed.

Noodles is completely wrong. Stop pushing the Kool-Aid. Check the facts. The New York Rangers are the biggest hockey market in the NHL. They also sell the most merch in the league (check my facts, I do before I post anything). If you look at social media stats for popularity, Chicago is #1. The Leafs are #7.
