I had a T97 in blue. Regret selling it. Longer facing so you could go with a stiffer reed. I have a t95 now, getting back into it. Usually 2.5 Royals but I put a 2 on it and it screams and whispers. I like how when playing it softly it doesn't lose its core sound.

The T 95 was the mouthpiece adopted by Bob Wilber as his favourite for playing on his vintage Conn Tenor and by Anti Sarpila his pupil but i found the aperture too wide for my embouchure .

Really?? I wasn’t aware that he played Tenor. I know him mostly for his soprano playing in the Sidney Bechet tradition. Great to hear! If you look on my channel I also have several videos paying tribute to the great Sidney Bechet

Hello, i've really enjoyed listening you in various styles :) Would you recommend t45 to someone who is switching from alto to tenor? (playing alto for about 3 years on a size 7 theo wanne piece). I am looking for a cheap, reliable and versatile mouthpiece but i guess 75 and 95 would be too open for me. Thank you

t45 would be similar to like a size 5 mouthpiece for tenor. I would recommend the T 75 and may be going with like a size 2 1/2 reed maybe? T45 could be cool too so don’t let me deter you.
