thanks a lot. i dont emote cancel, and I do play guns but I pretty much only play rank soloq which means in order to win I have to 1v3 most of the times to climb. And I only play dash so 1v3ing with a gun in diamond is difficult.

I was able to hit phantom strikes in real game scenarios in s2 with aroumd 85-90% consistency, but with the changes to animation canceling, it feels much harder now. How have you adapted the phantom strike in s3 to stay consistent with it? For testing purposes, I tried making a script to understand the timing. After hours of tweaks, I was never even able to get a script to do it consistently as many times it would just slash instead of phantom + lunge. And again, obviously this is practice arena only as it's easily detectable, and I even got kicked out of the practice arena a lot too.

phantom strike is the same the animation cancel nerf does not affect it

@-j-j-c Yes, it does. There was a much larger window before because you needed to be in the window where you could queue an input, but start your lunge before the queued input executes. That's how phantom slashes work at all. With no more lunge cancels, that window is only after the lunge ends, not after a cancel is performed. So, the window is much tighter to when inputs would be instantly executed versus queued for a short period, which is why phantom strikes are more difficult now.
