Tell that to the 70 year old retired grandma trying to make it to the grocery store and back without running over a medium sized human child

Supervised self driving is effectively a beta for unsupervised self driving. Once that's out all the time you spend in a car can be used for whatever you want, could be socializing, gaming, movies, working, sleeping, etc.. Means that for a work commute, you can live farther from work because you're not wasting more time driving by living farther away → means you can spend less on real estate than you were when you had to be close to a city. Let alone all the money you save on gas... Plus, it's doubtful Tesla will ever stop selling cars that do have driving controls, so you take take over from self driving and absolutely rip in what's already a really quick car whenever you want. But for most, the savings on buying a car with no driving controls (bc it costs less to manufacture) makes the personal robotaxi a better value. Hope this helps.

@@modyq4180but this incentives building suburbia out of the city that requires a lot of money on road infrastructure. At the same time it incentivizes car usage even more, instead of trying to use more efficient and eco-friendly transportation. What you're talking about is not good nor sustainable for the future, it is only a short term solution that will be harmful for future generations.
