Update too often and too many things at once can spell disaster and recall hell. That being said, the cab really does need to change as visibility is significantly less than their competitors. I am new to driving HD's and the sight lines in the Ram are far less than our SD, not an issue for a lifelong HD driver I am sure, but for a new guy like me it matters. NOT nearly the ability of the Cummings, but "good enough." i live in Pittsburgh, PA and owning a diesel truck is getting more difficult. the shop rate for a gas truck is $75/hr. but for a diesel it's $125/hr. AND, there is a lack of diesel mechanics now. so i'm going to get a new 6.4 and see if i can be happy with that. i'm also happy that the MSRP on the 25's did not increase much over the 24's. given the problems that Stalantis is having right now, i'll bet there will be RAM dealers that will be selling the 25's "at invoice" or below.

As a 2016 Cummins owner, there's absolutely nothing they've done up until this point to ever convince me to trade mine in for an updated model. Honestly, if I were to offload mine, I'd probably get a GM or Ford product. Ram has really been left in the dust by these companies and you're absolutely right about the cab design and many of the other "features" just being carry-overs. When I bought mine new, it was no doubt the best bang for the buck... But the competition was making similar power and the features of the Ram were right on par, or even better for less money. At this point, they're really going to need to just redesign the whole truck from the ground up if they want to stay competitive. And Cummins clearly has been scared by the EPA/CARB's "dirty" tactics and is being as conservative as possible. The Cummins may still be a good value in the current market, but I think that's only because they realized they can't compete with their current philosophy. It disappoints me to see Ram and Cummins pretty much bowing to the competition right now and taking the L.

2.4 kw is definitely enough to run the new A/C units on truck campers. There’s even the ultra low profile 12V A/C units. There’s even campers don’t need huge A/C units as they are smaller. If it was up to me I would get a 3500 cab & chassis. Then I would find the truck camper I want, get it delivered to a local builder of truck decks in aluminum. They could do a custom built deck with removable side boxes so I could use the truck several ways . With the camper, without, but keep the deck boxes and they do a nice expanded metal tailgate you can put on & take off. , or snap off the boxes & use it as a flat deck. You could have a king pin in the deck to us for gooseneck towing as well. They become so much more versatile (and expensive, that deck & boxes is a dearly priced build. They will have your unit for up to a month. Now, of course you can do this with Ford as well. Another consideration is your own batter set up. LiFePo4 batteries are so good now! Have an alternator designated to charging the batteries only and solar on the roof of the camper, 2 x 48 v, 300 ah batteries and a strong inverter. You will have 3.5 kw of power, can run any A/C unit that can be maintained just with solar for hours & hours. (6-8 depending on the unit & sunshine). When you drive, you charge the batteries & quickly as well! The LiFePo4 batteries can handle the huge draws & fast recharges this system will have. You keep the alternator and all of the power system separate from what powers the truck otherwise and life’s good!! 😊😊 Adding this is comparable to paying for the onboard power of Ford or Ram, likely similar weight, but more capability. I had a portable 12V 400 ah system I used in the past. It was great! Even in the winter. I had a small wind generator on the topper I used as well as the rest I mentioned. Now it’s set up on a cart and we use it like a 3.0 kw rolling generator with the capabilities of those ridiculously all in one “generators). It gets used & borrowed a lot! It just has a 150 watt portable solar panel to go with it. It can also be charged with 120 or 240 v wall plugs. Soooo many options!!! To each their own!! The updates the truck really needed have been addressed & in the next update they could redo the cab & interior. Maybe do an all aluminum cab for weight savings & better payloads,,,,. Thanks Andrey!!

Genuine question about the video. Was that 2 fuel filters I saw on the intake side of the engine? So no more rear chassis filter? That makes life easier for me if that's the case. Also, I would had liked to see what the new cartridge oil filter looks like (seen on the turbo side). Also looking at that upper valve cover, it almost looks like it's shrink wrapped around the current PCV-Filter setup, I don't find it as aesthetically pleasing, but I guess they had to rework it with the exposed injectors now. Not sure how I feel about that. Also saw that the intake is now side-draft versus being fed from the top, so I bet that helps in engine packaging to some degree. Hopefully that means being able to more easily service the intake side to clean out carbon without having to remove the fuel lines. About the fuel pump. Rumor has it that it's another iteration of the CP4 pump. If they did indeed re-engineer it, it would be nice to see what they actually did. The biggest issue is the plungers spinning in their bore and the roller getting chewed up sending shrapnel through the engine. I think GM is using a Delphi unit or something.

Can you ask RAM why they've never done a RAM Box in the Dually bed configuration. I would think that would make more sense since you get so much more room. Would love to see that happen on upcoming models! Thanks Amazing channel and have been a day 1 fan.

I like Ram and I hate being so poor I could not get a new 2500. But thanks for the video.

Is it over head cam or push rod?

I bought a 2024 2500 CrewCab Cummins and I'm fine with that decision. I'm towing 6000 and fine with the old drivetrain. Got a good deal on it also. I'm glad to see they haven't screwed the pooch in 2025. I don't understand the concern about the cab design. If it ain't broke - don't fix it.
