I'm sorry, but these trucks are not worth buying unless it's the base model only as every other trim is a complete rip off. There's no value with the Maverick unless it is the base model only.

A couple of things. The Shark 6 is not available in China. There is no Ford hybrid utensils in Australia until mid 2025

Considering that you can't even get a freaking Maverick... It'll be a good idea for Toyota to capture an audience that's being neglected

Garbage brand, and on top of that overpriced for this work truck.

It's not always about "the fastest"? It's a pick up truck....not a sports car? Nissan did an exceptional job with the Frontier? Most people just want a naturally aspirated, solid workhorse that functions naturally without all the extra drama😮

Toyota can build one but the dealer will just add another $15K markup and what is worse is that people will just buy it.

Just for curious can you import a vehicle in to the US like this. When I say important in I mean buy it say in Mexico and drive it in to the US. I know that some cars have issues being brought into the US and then registered at the DMV in some states due to safety requirements. That being said I am not sure about something like this. Does anybody have any ideas on this.?

Thank the 25% 1964 “chicken tax” by president LBJ for why we can’t get these in the U.S. at a reasonable price and EPA regulations for why we no longer have small trucks..

10 speed trans in Ford vs 8 speed trans in ram can give Ford the edge in mileage .

If it ain’t broke don’t fix it. Because when you mess with the original. It cost more to fix it. Stop trying to reinvent the wheel.

Brand loyalty! They said the same thing about Toyota and Honda back in the '70s. If I can buy two BYD trucks for the price of one Ford or Ram truck, that savings would go a long way in improving my family's quality of life. American automakers *could* have done build this type of motor battery system years ago, but instead, their focus has been on greed. Now, they're turning to the U.S. government to impose 100% tariffs to bail them out once again.

I watch a video on this. The business made us think bigger truck & suv is better. In reality u waste more gas, kil others & urself more ezly(especially kids), challenge to park, trucks r not meant as a family vehicle they're main role is farm, challenge, dirty, pulling, carry heavy loads, work, economic & efficiently. Suvs have a similar problem too big for too little back for what a family sedan or minivan can give 3 × more efficiently. Why do u need a massive head when trailors & tanks don't even got those.. 💀 U don't need even a small truck unless ur gonna consistently carry heavy & loads. Yet 80% of us citizens have them, with high chances of killing kids.

New 2025 Tundra from what I read is the truck NOT to buy. I personally thinking about the 2025 Toyota Tacoma (Pro) or Ford Ranger Raptor. The V6 on the Ford is pulling me more but the reliability of the Tacoma needs be accounted for - although they now have a new 4 cylinder. Would not be a choice if Tacoma had the V6 still. Currently Ford has ton of trucks on the lots, might find a cool deal, but we will see.

My 21 ranger with 4cyl only gets around 24 or 25 mpg on the highway not at elevation. 16-17 mpg in city traffic. Kind perplexing that the bigger engine setting on a wider and slightly heavier frame on the newer model is more efficient. Guess my only win is that I got mine for 60% less than the one you drove

I literally bought a 2024 last weekend, didn’t want to wait for a 2025, and got a great deal on mine. XLT trim level with the FX4 and towing packages, I’ll never tow anything but it’s got beefier suspension and bigger radiator. I test drove plenty of different vehicles, I wanted AWD because I live in Wisconsin and after test driving the Maverick just one time I knew it was the vehicle I wanted. Great little truck and the price was nowhere near the price of a full size

Toyota should make a competitor with a crew cab with the 4.5' bed and an extra cab with a 6' bed. Slap some decent hybrid engines in them and people will have to order them years in advance.

I have a 2022 Velocity Blue Maverick XLT FX4 that I Love, I really like the Red and Green colorways you filmed. I have a Leer cap on mine that is my only regret, it was a nightmare. It still leaks, drove my mileage down and makes the rear a giant blinds pot. I put a dash/rear cam system on it and that helped a bunch. I'm on the fence with the front end changes, but think the upgrade to the Hybrid system is great as the 4K towing and AWD make the truck so much more useful and drive so well. It beats the hell out of my 2016 Silverado.
