Thank you Eric, for this interview. It’s very important. I left the Church in the early 1990s and attempted an Evangelical church, where I found missions! I went on 3 missions. I was going to leave all for 3 years to live in Guatemala. In 2000 God called me back to the Catholic Church. That changed everything sadly. I did go on many 1 week missions with Renewal Ministries to Mexico. However I wanted to give my life as a missionary. I’m a consecrated single (private vows) and was completely debt free ready to go. But life has passed by. Found FMC a few years ago… but much too late. Anyway I just love that you see this as an important topic to cover. Catholics for the most just don’t think about giving their lives in this way. People thought I was nuts when I was preparing to go full time. I think I allowed that to influence me 😞 Oh and glad your wonderful guess mentioned that we all have trauma and they detox from it while in formation! God bless FMC and you Eric.
