Maybe the bold gull's cry was a message to the other gulls that food is available? I think some small carnivorous, prehistoric dinosaurs would've done the same thing to get their fellow dinosaurs to come and tuck into the food

I give peanuts to the jays and crows and I see the same thing. Sadly, some birds have never had a peanut. once a gull or other bird figures out that there is delicious food inside that peanut shell they don't forget .

It's always seemed strange to me that gulls are a protected species but crows are not. In the US, you can literally shoot every single crow you see, but a gull will cost you $500 per bird. In all my life on the water, I've never seen a dead gull. I've also never seen a gull's nest. No idea where they nest, mate, etc..

David Buschhorn, the migratory bird act is a complete joke. You can’t even defend your livestock if a hawk attack’s it! Also you’re not able to relocate the majority of birds nests even if they’re under danger.
