IDK to be honest. You had some good points. I was initially thinking it is going to open early, like the end of April or early May. I believe the sweepstakes are that long, to get people to visit their other two parks as well as Epic Universe or even instead. Epic Universe of course is going to be extremely crowd heavy, and will take away from the other two parks. But you know who will have 50, 60, maybe even 70% less crowds? The other two parks. So some may want to take the less hectic/crowded route and pray to win the sweepstakes. Even the ones that have already visited Epic Universe, especially the UOAP holder's. I mean why not, it's free. 🤷🏾‍♂️ But what I do know and pray is that Epic Universe does have a month or two before grand opening for the UOAP holder's. Because I am a UOAP Premium Pass member, and I'm moving 5 mi. away from Universal Studios Orlando in 3 days plus, I 1,000% know that I won't mind being a guinea pig, before the summer vacation with the chaotic massive crowds. 🤞🏾🙏🏾

Don't forget they still have to finish construction for the road on kirkman road. No telling when that will be finished.

Ya been covering that in the construction updates. That seems to be making some good progress, at this point I don’t think the road work is going to be the hindering factor of the park opening. I’m no road construction expert though mind you lol

@@capthemagic These things take time. They might not even know when to open just yet. However nearing down the first half of the year 2025 is a good place to start.

If Epic Universe *does* end up opening in Summer or fall of next year, at least it wouldn't be as bad as the "delay" of American Heartland opening😅 I also would much rather see them delay the opening of the park if they end up having Hagrid style issues with one or more of the rides.(Not so much for me, but for the success of the theme park, and the industry as a whole)

Very true lol. The American Heartland park isnt looking promising (going to do a follow up video on that topic). Agree on would rather them get it right and delay if they need to

@@capthemagic Yeah, it's not looking promising at all... It's a shame, as the concept is cool, and it'd be great to see another theme park open up that isn't owned by Universal or Disney, but alas...

@@Themersive Same here. The concept of the park is awesome, and it's nice that it's in a city instead of out in the boonies like Holiday World. Unfortunately though, it sounds like the company behind American Heartland isn't exactly the most trustworthy, so it's one of those things that I'd love to see come to fruition, but I'm not exactly holding my breath😅

I think (hope) Epic will be open before that, but the sweepstake also doesn't really imply a date imo. The draw is going to be sometime after the end date, and then you'll probably have another several weeks of formalities until the winner can actually start their travel. So I assume Epic will be open for a bit by the time the winner will be there.

@@capthemagicthis is going to be an epic year for universal! While the Evil rat company is still finding ways to irreparably destroy its own reputation, universal is still finding ways to make park goers’ experiences even better than before and learning from its own mistakes it has made in its films and shows!

I think June is the back stop. I look at it as “what’s the latest we would go before opening?”. May 18th is still my bet.

I thought Epic Universe opening was dependent on building that roundabout to elevate traffic, due to the park being in a residential area. Also, the rumor I heard was that the Ministry of Magic was behind. As the dark ride is more technically advanced, than the other attractions in the theme park. Which always creates issues during testing, especially when dealing with animatronics.

A lot of Epic’s opening timeframe is the roads around it for sure. I’ve heard the rumor of MOM being behind also… lots of rumors out there for sure
