What an amazing video! I always saw the older version of this in shops and not this more modern version. So good man

Nice one! For me - RG-144 was Z'gok was the only option - it costs like 2$ more, but it has moving EYE! And clear part to keep it dry)

I know nothing of Gundam, yet since i was visiting Japan earlier this year i still have visions of the red mech with a menacing eye, that I now know as the RG Z'Gok kit, judging me while browsing anime figures on the opposite shelf. I didn't get any gunpla back then, my suitcase was already almost full but it was enough to plant that seed. So with Christmas coming i looked a bit more into gunpla and found a retailer near me. In the end i decided to take a Zaku Gunner kit that to my limited knowledge is from 2005 over (What i assume to be) this very Z'Gok kit just from 2001 (The top box around 1:31 in the video). They both looked so different to what my outsider view saw other Gundams i couldn't help but be curious. Maybe i ll pick it up some day, who knows. But now i am rambling. Great video, making me wish i knew more of Gundam and simultaneously its giving me the itch to build.

Zaku Gunner is awesome as well! It's never too late to know more about Gundam. I just watched Gundam X, Seed and G fighter as a kid and never really got to finish any of them back then but I loved seeing their model kits and the very reason why I love model kits in general. But I also didn't know that there were different universes in Gundam until I decided to know more of it after I finished college and got immersed in the Universal Century universe. It was the time Iron Blooded Orphans has just been released. But it's only optional honestly, if one wants to know the backstory of a particular model with no desire to watch the series it's in, we still have a handful of reliable Gundam wiki to thank. And at the end of the day, It's the model kits we enjoy building that makes us appreciate these may it be Gunpla or any other kits.

It's held up surprisingly well for its age, but as one of my favorite designs, I desperately want a revive for the Z'gok, and preferably not one with the RG's proportions, but closer to those of the MG. Maybe since they've made a new HG Z'gok for Seed, we'll get a revive of the UC version, similar to when the Gouf R35 came out and then the revive afterward.

Oh yes, Gunpla tech has evolved so much! Looking at my second ever kit, HG Char's Gelgoog and comparing it to the recent Gelgoog Menace, BOI! That's quite an evolution.

The HG Seed Freedom lineup is definitely on my to-buy list and especially the Gelgoog Menace and Z'Gok.

There is a direct upgrade of this High Grade with the Z'Gok Amazing from one of the Build lines that fixes some of the few issues the kit has which is poseability. There is also the Unicorn version of the Z'Gok that came out since. Also the basic blue Z'Gok is a surprisingly better experience in assembly next to Char's version...

The Amazing Z'gok is awesome! The arms are definitely an upgrade! But I would personally categorize it more as a parts and weapons addition than a kit redesign since it still uses most of the original HGUC Z'Gok's parts and runners. But still an awesome kit nonetheless. As for the unicorn version, I only know of the MG unicorn color variant if not the HGUC Zogok. I definitely need to look that up as well.

@@KitbyAkida Looking back with the Unicorn one, it's supposed to be the Zogok apparently, but there was a printing that had the box as Z'gok there. For the Amazing, it's, essentially, a single piece that goes with a massive upgrade to the point where there were several people with 3D printed copies of it since it vastly upgraded things. The other extra parts are also great, but the core piece was a major upgrade to the base build.

Costs around 15 USD in Saudi (if found cheap)

Perhaps shipping and tax must be a large factor if not scarcity of stocks. A few years back, some of my friends working in Riyadh who would have an itch on building and buying model kits would buy them online by the lots and they would just chip in for the shipping cost. They said it's much more economical than buying kits there. I forgot to ask what site they bought from. But I read somewhere that OtakuME and Hobby Link Japan has reasonable prices.

I think the HG looks more anime accurate, the RG has a bit too much detail for my liking.
@khanhduytran3129Күн бұрын
I picked this one over the rg because rg has too much detail for me
