Yes, your electric bill goes up, but you don't pay for gas in your car, and with hos ridiculous gas prices are right now, thats a good thing. There are always growing pains for new technologies, but this one seems to be a net positive. Once other big companies see the need to improve the battery life and charging times (through competition or government grants), then EVs would be better than classic cars.

Typically you just stand there for the 10 seconds it takes to fuel up. Someone waiting around for who knows how long just to "get back" at them has far too much free time on their hand. Time is more valuable than being petty. It's a special level of dumb to unplug someone's car, and it's an extra special level of dumb to waste your time waiting to do something that's not nearly as detrimental. Just begin another fueling session and you're done before the EV guy can even get back to his car.

You got it all wrong, it is because the chargers by other companies aren't made for the Tesla, the Tesla adapter, made for non-Tesla chargers, does not lock into the non-Tesla charger. This means that while the adapter stays in the port, the charger itself doesn't stay in the adapter.

All lvl 2 and lvl 3 connectors LOCK into my port and only disconnect after I’m done charging unless it breaks and i have to force a manual release. (Only once.) Tesla absolutely should have put the forethought of putting a lock built into the adapter so no one or nothing could easily pull it out…especially given the cost of a battery which improper disconnects can absolutely trash your electronics. And you can’t even get an adapter for vac connection for non teslas yet.

The 'bulletproof' glass that was much hyped up in the stage presentation also makes it impossible to either escape from the vehicle or for rescuers to gain entry if the doors can't be opened. @@Arado_Missile No, I was wrong. Someone /did/ drown in a Tesla because of poorly designed emergency escape capability, but it was a Model X, not a Cybertruck. Name was Angela Chao. Got drunk, tried to drive anyway, reversed her car straight into a pond. Water promptly killed the electronics so the doors wouldn't open, and she couldn't figure out the emergency door release mechanism. It's a simple lever on the front doors, but concealed by the decorative markings on the door and made of the same color plastic. Easy to see if you know it's there, but impossible to spot unless you know about it. Especially if panicking or drunk.

Nothing is great from the get go. I read an article from the early 1900s saying gas vehicles would never replace the horse and buggy. Give it probably a decade and EVs and hybrids will be the main vehicles on the road. Doubt they'll ever eliminate gas completely.

Tesla's are piling up at the dealership, and new Chinese EV cars are parked at Dutch harbours. However, Toyota is doing very well, and they only offer 1 fully electric model. Lithium is running out, and EV problems are apparent. I think that hydrogen and other synthetic fuels will be the future. Toyota already made working hydrogen cars

Most chargers automatically lock to the charging port by default anyway. The only time this accessory would be necessary is when using an adapter Also, gas vehicles catch fire far more often, yet nobody ever seems to worry about them, or firefighters being able to help... In fact, it’s so common that the news media rarely bothers reporting on it (without further extenuating circumstances), because it would be too boring to catch anyone’s attention 🤷

And this is only necessary on the extremely rare occasion that you're traveling a long way AND can only access a charger without the Tesla standard charger (most other EVs use the J1772 standard, so that's what most public chargers have. Normally, you don't ever go to a charger, you just plug the car in at home and it charges while you go about your day.
