Skip a generation so the game no longer recognizes the polination as family and your alien descendant *can* get alien pregnant. I did that years ago before I realized, and he got pregnant with his great grandfathers (or was it great-great? I can't remember) child... yeah. That was one messed up family tree.

You can impregnate alien descendants by an alien with mods/cheats, but normally the pregnancy shouldn't happen 👽 BUT if the Pollination Technician is already a great-grandparent or further - this is not considered family ties anymore, so pregnancy WILL HAPPEN!

You can do this, with testing cheats you can "have a baby with...." option so even 1sr cousins can impregnate each other lol

Yeah, likely all it is is the family restrictions at play. With a multi-PT mod, if you had a child of one PT happen to get abducted by that same PT, they wouldn't get pregnant either. In my megahood, I delete the PT from the family tree and change up the default every now and then, so technically none of my alien kids are related and could become alien impregnated one day.

@ferret I only disconnect PT from the family tree, not delete the sim itself. As far as I know, you can mess around with the family tree as much as you want without risk of corruption.

I specifically tested the multi-PT mod to see if alien descendants could have alien-abduction children. I thought it would be sad for the Curious kids to grow up unable to have the same experiences as their fathers. So I made an alien testing farm with some men forced to stargaze all night every night... Then I did the same with their alien sons ... And I was able to make 3 generations of alien-abduction children, all with different pollinator parents! I wasn't able to see if it ever fails because the sim's parent or grandparent is randomly selected -- as far as I could tell the game will always choose a pollinator that isn't in the family tree. I assume this would remain true forever with 4 PTs, since after great-grandparents (I think) ancestors are no longer regarded as family.

It’s really interesting that you can blend the human and alien baby templates! It makes sense, I suppose they function like any other template. Just a heads up: while it’s probably possible to replace baby face templates, Lifa’s defaults don’t do that. The ones in the pictures are toddlers.

I looked into the idea of modifying baby faces last night (to mild success), but it would be pretty hard to add customized ones to default face templates. All templates (excluding aliens) draw from one archetype (rather than each having their own identical copy), so there's only buArchBase and buArchAlien available to replace.

I've played with the alien DNA for years... PT 9 from ST has been the ultimate baby daddy I've noticed thst when he had a baby with a baby momma, have her baby taken away, and then adopted into another family, the baby becomes available to be adopted and therfore... ahem.... becomes another baby momma to keep the blue blood blue lol

This is so interesting! ❤️ I love that this Game can suprise after all those years, the attention to detail! Also there is this interesting feature from Nightlife that can also answer that question. Turn on and turn offs contain every single supernatural creature ever created in Sims 2 from zombies (from University) to bots (from Open for Buisness), probably added with each expansion pack or in update, but guess which creature is not available to choose without mods? That's right! Alien ones! Given the though that Nightlife was created as a second expansion pack it really tells about creators opinion. Lovely video, can't wait for more❤️

All face templates are linked to the 2nd face template for babies, with the exception of the 28th face template (the hidden alien face template) But if you use Body Shop sliders to blend the 28th face template with one of the other templates, all babies using the blended template will have a face that looks partway in between the 2nd and 28th face templates in appearance. I had no idea that facial blending in Create a Sim was possible though. I thought it was exclusive to Body Shop. And that right clicking the thumbnails only refreshed the pictures. I still prefer Body Shop when it comes to facial blending. Since Body Shop allows you to click the same slider 80 times. Whereas Create a Sim only allows you to click the same slider 10 times.

Someone made a mod fixing the turn ons and turn offs and because the one for custom hair apparently cannot work, they replaced it with and alien one. I wonder if it works with this template or with the skin tone or what. Awesome video, these features are so cool.

This is very cool! I do have a PT mod with three different aliens (the reg. game PT, a Birth Mother, and a Romulan) and I have several different alien children in my neighborhood. Now I'm going to have to make a point to get one of them abducted and see if they get pollinated by a different PT.

My sim was an alien decedant, his grandfather was a pure alien, and he was still abducted and got impregnated by his grandad 😂😂😂 And no I don't use mods 😃

So cool! And there is one thing that is corelated to things youve been talking about. Game doesn't allow to impregnate Alien's children buuut if you make this sim pregnant using mods or sth, he'll give birth to his brother/sister. In the familytree you could see that newborn has only one parent ("oryginal" Alien). Sim who was pregnant has memory about giving birth but this child is only his brother/sister in the familytree. But i haven't checked the genetics so I don't know if this child is a clone of Alien or has some genetics from a 'father'-brother

@@Marticore I think so? Or I have some Mandela effect. I remember some old tip saying alien with that magic milk will learn stuff so much faster than normal sim and I started thinking about this while playing today. I have alien kid and I was like huh yeah he learns kinda faster

Smart milk makes all kids learn faster. Plus, it's broken in the game code, so even when the glow disappears, the fast learning stays pretty much forever.

Wow, I didn't know that, I just knew that aliens are pretty much normal sims, which is so disappointing. I know that when aliens kidnap Nina (this is something I always do in my game, as I find it to be a delicious display of karma) she does come back pregnant, but of course to do that I have a mod instaled plus I think I have 4 PT who came with default replacement, so aliens in my game wouldn't look as ugly as they usually do.

There's nothing wrong with it. But it adds new universal NPCs, so if you remove it, your game will be corrupted.

Could you take a look at physiology? I found that it accelerates the pace of earning skill points depending on how many body skills the sim has So with matched out body skill, they learn all skills really quickly

I already made a video about life skills and have never heard of this effect. Physiology is just broken and makes the Sim max out body in 3 seconds.

@@Marticore It could be that it was due to the order of which I installed the packs. Due to my age, it didn't make sense for me to begin playing Sims 2 before Pets came out. I got the later EP after Pets. I installed Sims 2 with these packs on my Windows 10 (I didn't install Mansions and Gardens because the DVD was so scraped I didn't trust it would keep on working indefinately). Later I aquired University, Nightlife, Open for Business and two stuff packs (the glamour one and the H&M one) I haven't downloaded any patches So it could be a bug due to strange installation order I have done some testing to confirm that this is what happens on my computer I made a household and I made Sims having these roles P is for physchiology B is for body skill K is for knowledge aspiration benefits Sims: BK PK PB P B BKP Those who had both B and P had the effect I described They learned skills almost instantly All others learned skills quite a bit slower, although it was some boost to the K-sims I so no effect for the B alone sim Let me see if I have uploaded any videos for evidence of my claim (as I do see how it can be quite unbelievable)

But although this isn't clean in that it shows ONLY this effect (really many others too) it isn't great evidence. But the two last skills goes almost instantly compared to the 4 pre-body Funnily, it is so quick you gotta watch when the skill bar dissapears as the messages lags and generates well beyond when the sim stops learning (again, this is further accelerated by other stuff as well). But there should be a difference

You reminded me about a behavior present in Johnny Smith in Strangetown, for some reason everyone near him has unstoppable urge to look and create a thought bubble about them. i thought it was about the game recognizing him as an Alien but it turns out it seems to be something particular to Johnny himself. I've done it, I'm a biochemist in real life so I wanted to try a genetics project! So I outcrossed several lines of aliens with humans and then bred back together the ones who still had green skin to make a true breeding line of green skinned sims. Yes that did mean Sims having babies with their second cousins...

I have to admit it when it comes to unique lore or fact the game the mechanics of it mostly the mechanics of the game itself in the lore not saying that you did not do your homework I just see your work on the mechanics of the game as more unique don't get me wrong I definitely see details that you were very careful on the others who are very careful either made lately of this information or they simply didn't have time or they didn't see it the same way that you found the details in it the way comes to the game mechanics especially in that almost a lot of my more unique game- based I mean like base game play I actually use some of your techniques and there's some of the only ones that will work in my game especially like doing the template one where you click the mouse on the left button and it will shift the facial structures I usually prefer doing just natural mixing of the parents genetics through the pacifier but I do prefer doing it a more organic transition of the faces by doing that and you can also do that shifting and same amount of that with different parts of the face by left clicking on the mouse as well for more subtle things it's one of the things when I randomize personal Sims and cas before playing family I would do a little shift changes to the face of sometimes to the SIM so they would have a more unique face but it's neither one template or just a mixture of two Sims it would be a bit more like there would be eight different some pieces you can say of different traits from other Sims in the face templates and other parts of the face that you can add in that way but more subtle ways it's also easier and faster for me to get more unique looking Sims that way without having to constantly work with the sliders I definitely work within a sliders when it comes to using that but for more specific looks to the face or generalizations when the face or them customization is not quite as smooth looking or is unique I will admit I'm still trying to work out kinks without damaging my game like I like using the idea of the mannequin skin through cheats but I'm worried that I either would cause a dominant gene that could cause issues or I would have to find a mod that would not glitch at the game If anyone knows any mods to help with that please let me know
