Does the Stryfe X Destroy Darts?

In todays video we dive into a little bit of a field research project to find out if the New Nerf Pro, Stryfe X will destroy your short darts. This is a huge problem that affects cheaply made darts or flywheel blasters that have either too much power going to motors or the flywheel crush is to great. Ultimately between the two your darts have a limited live expectancy which can be costly for Nerf players.
Today we set out to test some of the most popular short darts (Worker Gen 3+, Dart Zone Ruby & Dart Zone Bamboo 2.0) against the new flywheel blaster. Along side those tried and true darts we are also putting Nerf Pro Short darts (Pumpkin Darts) to the test as well.
While this is just one blaster and one set of data points, I feel it is a good start. More testing may be required with a larger sampling but for now this is what I have to work with.

The Accustrike short darts are not good in typical hobby-grade pump/spring blasters. The heads rub on the barrels as they travel through them and create drag. Tested with Harrier, Seagull, Unicorn, Nexus Pro, and Dictator. Springers really want that smaller head which makes sense since some of the dart velocity comes from the dart traveling down the snug barrel in a spring-powered blaster.

Yeah, I was afraid of that. This also makes me feel like Nerf is not going to release a high power springer in the Pro Line. Sad face

@@backyardfoam or they’ll make a second line of pro darts that are for “speed” or something. Maybe out of ultra foam? Nerf making us get multiple kinds of darts sounds very Nerf.

I see the same kind of head wear on the rubies and DZ pro full length darts using a springer. I don't see the same wear on the head on ember darts or the Green/Orange bamboos (Gen1 DZ Pro?)... that is just with springers though.

My Omnia pro has damaged quite a few of my dart zone darts, which makes sense due to the flywheel issues

I'm really looking forward to the re-release of that blaster & comparing the two. I was really impressed with the build quality of the Stryfe X.
