I bought one about 3-4 months and the thing has been sitting in my garage until yesterday. I finally put it together and tried it out. It works ok. That drain hose is a bugger to put on, it could have been a little looser fitting since they provided a clamp. I showed a couple family members how it works hopefully they will use it and stop leaving my hose strung out in my yard!

Hey Moon Pie, I fixed mine! It was binding up so I took it apart and inside the hub of the reel is a three cylinder plastic pump. The middle piston rod was disconnected from the crank shaft. Got it back together and it works again. Not sure for how long but...

Our Suncast autorewinder started leaking water after using for 1 year and the handle also broke. It has a 3 year warranty but Suncast asks for receipt which is crazy because who would save the receipt for a year? Very bad customer service.

READ DIRECTIONS! Clearly state that you do not let the hose kink before being re-wound

Fill the long garden hose (100 footer?) with water so there is no kink...

you're gonna need those anchor stakes if you want to pull the hose out again. It might last a year with light use. Mine is broken now and I'm searching the inter web to see if anyone has repaired one successfully. no luck so far.

i can see the aquawinder not lasting you a while. You can't let the hose get kinked up otherwise the plastic mechanism is gonna break on you.

I have to tell you the truth: it's still working as the day it was purchased. and i do not work for them!!!!

+conquryourfear wow ok. good for you then. I've heard of many people having breaking issues using it normal. I don't take chances and I make sure hose goes in straight.

that is STUPID! I was thinking about buying one of those good thing I watched this...you really have to waste all that extra water just for it to work? really? That's dumb!!

A.J. Williams The amount of water and it's cost is a lot less than anything electrical mechanical to do the same job. My opinion. When I do roll up the hose I grab the end where the water comes out and sprayed onto the lawn.

So you literally have to flood the area around your hose to rewind the hose? Not to mention the wasted water. I can't believe these things are made, let alone bought.

A.J. Williams I direct the water into a shrub area. Not wasted.

conquryourfear & do it yourself Unless you do that . But still you are missing the opportunity to get some exercise you wouldn't do otherwise and how about the time you wasting.

Glad I didn't buy it! Also look at how much water is wasted trying to reel it in. Just get the manual version and hand crank it. Save water and get a little work out!
