Very disappointed in Barr. I thought there was hope for him. People make mistakes but owning them is another matter entirely. I think Christie did this.....Barr on the other hand may just be fearful of retribution. I don't know..... but he has nothing to fear if Biden wins.....so maybe hedging his bets? I'd like to believe that most people (myself included) have the courage to act in opposition to fear. None of us really know what we'd do until we're actually in the situation.

There's a lot I like about Christie. I admire that he stood up to Trumpism. On the issue of Biden being too old versus Trump being a narcissistic psychopathic criminal, I can't understand how he feels that it's okay not to vote for Biden given his very low opinion of Trump. Christie says his vote for president won't matter since he lives in New Jersey (a blue state) but his opinion does matter since he has a following of sane Republicans. Anyone who has the least bit of logic and reason, in my opinion has a civic duty to make sure DT never gets near the WH again. Biden in spite of not being "salesman" enough to promote his policies etc., has the country's best interest at heart and is a decent human being. We'd all like to see a stronger orator etc. and Biden's language specific gaffes can grate, but since it is a binary choice, I don't think there is a choice. Biden, being too old could be compared to Christie being too fat, (his words) .....both have a greater effect on mortality, but that would never stop me from voting for someone who was too old, too fat, too unpolished etc. Maybe Christie believes this is just another election that will shake itself out if Trump somehow takes back the WH. Maybe he believes that democracy as we know it is not being challenged. Maybe he believes a Trump cabinet would be principled men and women who could govern with him and keep his worst impulses in check. I think on this point Christie is being cavalier and selfishly egotistical given the paramount importance of this election. Maybe he is ignorant of the possibility that he himself would be in the top ranks of the people DT has sworn to exact retribution. Regardless of what Christie says my opinion of him is that he is that he is decent, open to constructive criticism and is not so immovable on his positions, as to be ridiculous. I am a former Republican leaning independent turned Democrat for now. I think if the Republican party (not MAGA) has any future at all, this election needs to go Democrat.

I feel he would have been the best choice for our nation from the Republican party. He seems to have a great love of America and care for our people. What i remember about Chris Christie is the horrible Bridgegate. I am impressed by his skill at persuasion except its substance. Definitely hold different values and beliefs about how the country should be run. Agree Biden is not so grest at selling but has accomplished a lot of measures anyway. Christie may be tough, but I value the balance of toughness and compassion. A lot of the system is rigged against young people today that isn't about their being weak.

The only reason Trump is popular is because he isn`t a career politician and he picked 2 or 3 issues that resonated with regular people and then he tries to do what he says he would. These careerist politicians that stick around on Capital Hill forever while the country sinks slowly into stagnant wages for the low and middle class, debt and chaos year after year shows they aren`t doing the job, whether it is gathering consensus in congress or in their own districts. Instead of acknowledging a few pressing issues that matter to the people, like border control or unfair "free trade" that is hurting the low and middle class employment prospects. Who hires illegals? It isn`t poor people. What depresses wages?More workers for fewer jobs. Trump might be a pompous ass but so are most people in Washington, they are just more polished and better actors and better liars.
