I spent 10 years in military intelligence as an analyst and dealt with wingnuts from every agency you've heard of and a few you never will. Yes. There are a plethora of influential and powerful individuals and cliques at every level of military and civilian gvt who sincerely believe as long as the other side comes out worse, a nuclear war is totally worth it. The scariest ones are the relatively sane and rational ones who believe its inevitable, so sooner is better than later, when we may lose our advantage.

I'm an old man and I was born when Eisenhower was President, I was named after Eisenhower so I was curious about the man and did some research years ago, that's when I found the " military industrial complex " speech. Well, I didn't think about it too much until we here in America started with the constant warfare path that we've been on since the Bushes were in office. It's unrelenting. War, war war, it's terrifying and completely unjustified in my opinion. Now what's so strange is the Democrat party is the war mongering party now. It's unbelievable how much the party has flipped. They talk as though nuclear war is some kind of game. Also, just to prove my point, Dick Cheney has endorsed kamala harris! And Putin too! God this is a nightmare! I have never been overtly political and I really don't like politics at all, but I feel like I must vote and end to this madness and that seems to be Trump. I feel so disappointed with my government.

At that time U S had already invaded over 100 countries and set up a puppet in every country in south america and africa to enforce corporate ownership and control of the land. That is a large part of why there is all this 'migration' lately. Most of the land in south america, mexico and africa is tied up by corporate owners who hold it and do nothing with it, or develop small pieces here and there as the price goes crazy.

What’s so “super” about “super-fuse?” It’s just a smarter proximity fuse. Obviates the need to increase the nuclear arsenal, by utilizing the one that the US already has in a better way. It is till doesn’t change the calculation of MAD. This is particularly apt in the age of three great nuclear powers, but nothing more than that afaic

Looking at your video clip there are parts I agree with and those that I don't. As for the belief that nuclear weapons are dangerous to us all , I agree. At least the large strategic ones are. Not so much the ones that will be exchanged in the next big war. As for their very existence being a threat , lets look at history. The US was pereminate in Nuclear first strike weapons from about 1945 until1965.. No attack on Russian cities. Again 1996 -now. The US now fully capable of an overwhelming first strike. Russia has not feared it enough to strike the US. As for the "Super Fuse" . Good!. smaller more accurate weapons are better then city killers. And a 99% PK is truly encouraging . I'll say it again, smaller more accurate weapons make for les nuclear weapons on a non specific target set . But you are right . As nuclear weapons become smaller and more accurate, they blur the line between themselves and large conventual weapons.

Any country without nukes is fair game for russia and china. Nuclear deterrence has worked so far, but the trick is it has to be believable. In other words, your enemy must believe that you are capable and willing to use nuclear weapons to retaliate a nuclear strike. If not, there is NO deterrence.
