The words "I" and "me" simply draw boundaries around what already exists ."yours" and "mine" draw associative lines, "because" becomes a way to associate two things that always seem to occur together...

Haven't watched yet, the human world is calling. But the picture is beautiful. I drew a sketch a few days ago of a doorframe with an open door leading to the sun. and behind the door another path form the shadows.I could see the metaphor, but when I asked for a title... stern voice " The door to summer was never closed, stop standing behind an open door!!"💥

I think this pointer came from Rupert Spira but I have been looking for the border ( which doesn't exist ) between ''in here" & "out there". Realizing there are no borders has opened an amazing shift in my experience. I already know somehow that what you are pointing to here will deepen the shift. Thank you

I tried it this morning on my walk, and wow. Absolutely no evidence that I was moving! Not "the body is moving, and I'm inside it just along for the ride", but literally I wasn't moving. And then a few seconds later I lost it, but wow. Thanks Angelo 🙏

Thanks, timely once again, Angelo. Took this on my walk, listened 4 times…. This might just be more of what you were saying about ‘mind stuff’ but as I was out walking, visually I’d see a mailbox 100 yards up the road, watch it get bigger as I approached, and when asked what indicator can be found of distance, the senses came up… “close is something I can touch, far is something I cannot “…. It’s a thought, for sure, but it isn’t wrong. It’s part of the overlay I conceptually get that, but it’s like what Adyashanti says, that no separation or oneness can become a map/overlay… so do we just try to keep asking/ inquiring about distance and eventually this reveals itself?

Thank you for all you do Angelo. What about the idea of “conscious creation” and “manifestation” “alchemy” etc.. the idea that we create our physical reality with thoughts..I’m pointing at the work of those like Manly P Hall, Madame Blavoski, hermetic philosophy etc. Do these ideas fit in the context of non duality? Or is life simply happening (effortlessly like thoughts, the breath etc) and we are consciousness experiencing ourselves as that happening? Are thoughts in the way of the human having an optimally calibrated earthly experience? Thanks again.🙏🏾

Feels similar to playing a first person video game for me, I get this sense of an empty void in the area my character would appear if I could see them, not sure if that's the intended effect.

Ask where the self splits from others. Where is the evidence in direct experience? 6:09 Where does it feel like that subject is? Where does it feel like the object is? Is there a difference in quality between the two? Is location a conceptual overlay? 9:16 When you’re walking, is there something in the movement that suggests a self and other, near and far? 12:51 when you scan the visual field from center to periphery, is there a point where something feels less or more out there?

Thanks Angelo. I’ve been working on these naturally. Conceptually now I know there’s no distance and that ‘my body’ is just an aspect of the scene, and that what I’m seeing is where I think my face is. I haven’t flipped yet, but a number of strange things are happening in the visual field, not trippy things while inquiring but really all the time: smoky patchiness & infinite infinitesimal lights (better seen on lighter surfaces or sky), if I walk toward a wall and stop, it appears to recede, and I once had distinct translucent reddish colour spots on my hands etc. I don’t think much about these things either way as I must keep on, but I was wondering if you could do a video on some of these aspects, what things like this one might encounter through stages of the inquiry. 🙏

@@CasenJames Any idea why?
@CasenJames
@CasenJames Жыл бұрын
@DontMessWithGumby It's conjecture on my part, but I'd imagine it's because upon listening to something a second time, it gives an opportunity for other portions of the information to sink through. Also, if you're meditating in some form or another while listening, you may find yourself in a more receptive place when the video loops through again. But..... then again..... 🤷 Have a good day! 💚

The fact the observer give qualities to the object of observation indicate by itself the non-dualistic nature of the universe.

Wow Angelo! This was super helpful! Sitting in a chair on my balcony i investigated using the first exercise. Every time my mind heard a thought or tried to conceptualize i ignored it and went back into the seeing. The spacelessness/distances of the trees became slightly blurred and integrated! On the third exercise i was able to notice how my brain makes definitions in "this is here and that is over there" bc of the geometric lines and and shapes of the houses and roofs and such! Then i lost it 😅 But it was VERY helpful to me as Ive been wandering how to get that collapse. I will be coming back to this video. Amazing! Thank you 🙏

Realised my mind does a sneaky trick here. When you say to notice if there's any boundaries between objects in the visual field, the thought comes "Well obviously there's no boundaries in the visual field, it's all just light... cool got it, let's go do something else"

Great question 👍 I see a ball bounce off a wall or maybe the wall bounces off the ball. It "appears " that there are forms that " act" independently of other forms. It's crazy how much I "know " based upon conceptual narrative ( usually from others) vs from direct experience. Time to be a child again.

I notice that when I begin to experience the dissolution of boundaries in the visual field, my physical body becomes dense and I get strong uncomfortable panic sensations in my body. As though it's trying to make my perception solid again. Very uncomfortable.

I've been researching into non-duality consistently for 5-6 years now. At one point I was convinced, and even when I felt as if there was ego identification occurring or resistance I would just wait it out and eventually there would be a moment of clarity. The problem is now my day to day life is actually more painful and inharmonious as it's ever been, and I have moments of joy or clarity maybe once every week or 2 and it is literally just a moment, usually something I say or someone else says to me just feels pure. I'm in actual physical pain at least 50% of the time and it seems spiritual in nature. I'm worried the reality of the situation is that I'm being punished by God for bad decisions I've made in the past, or are still making. I used to be able to forgive myself with the idea that if i really knew better then I wouldn't have made the mistakes I have. But that doesn't seem to work anymore. Very negative energy in my body seems to be constantly signaling to me that I've fallen from grace and have entered into a kind of hell. People get very uncomfortable around me It's like I'm transmitting bad energy constantly. It seems almost contagious. I worry I've got bad karma in the traditional sense and the only thing that will work is to repent and seek redemption. Like I said 99% of the time it's dark but there is a flash every week or 2 so that does give me hope. I'll leave it there. Any advice you or anyone else has I'd be very grateful.

I'll just add this in case you or anyone recognizes what I'm describing; I'm also having difficulty speaking and pronouncing words. The energy and tone of my voice is almost never the way I intend it to sound, it sounds very gross. Also I'm having difficulty walking, and my face often swells up and looks kind of impish. I've been to doctors they don't know. It's 100% spiritual in nature.

@@benwoods5616 Sounds like you have a lot of old religious ideas rattling around in your head that aren’t serving you and that very rarely serve anyone. Your ideas of God (as something separate from and above you), sin, repentance, redemption, falling from grace, hell, karma, divine punishment, etc aren’t doing you any good. They’re only distracting and confusing you, amplifying your suffering, and keeping you stuck. Luckily for you, they’re also complete and utter bullshit. They don’t serve you because they weren’t made to serve you; they were made so that those who teach them to you can have power over you. Cut them off like a bad limb and like the chains that they are and you’ll be free to find and dig into whatever the actual solutions to your struggles are.

What about the distance that things seem to have from each other? I can see that things don’t have distance from me within my experience but can I also lose the sense of one thing being separate from another even though I can see distance between them (for example, two things that are both 10 feet in front of me and 2 feet away from each other)?

When I feel into what my mind says is me the subject, it is the sensations associated with my body, that tend to be the most dense around the chest and head. When I look at an object out there and feel into what tells me it is out there, I also find a sensation in the body, a felt sense of the distance between the object and me. When I scan the visual field from periphery to center, a felt sense (feels warm) tells me that things seen in the periphery is closer to me. Does this sound right?
