Hi Guys - great job of handling the complex and complicated Catalan political situation. The Catalans have a very distinctive culture and their own language which belongs to the Romance group of languages along with French, Portuguese, Italian and Romanian and is distinct from Castellano (Spanish). The area around Barcelona is extremely difficult to navigate on a bike, as you found out, and all routes around it are very circuitous and add many kms to your journey. Girona province is extremely beautiful with mountains, deciduous forests, surface water in rivers and streams and much wildlife unlike much of the rest of Spain which can be very rugged and sparse. Enjoy your winter quarters and am looking forward to more of your excellent videos. Thanks

Like France, the scenery and food of Spain is spectacular. Yet unlike the French, los catalanes y las catalanas son un encanto de gente, la crema de Europa perhaps, and if you dont find a way to socialize around you are missing the best that land has to offer. It is a situation very much like Amsterdam, in the sense that despite the outstanding beauty of the city, if you have not been impressed by the unique athmosphere of freedom and tolerance of Amsterdam you have just passed by. Biking is an old and major tradition in Spain, and a fast spreading sport nowadays, as in some other countries, so not everywhere folks will be flocking around you when you pass by and it is only natural. And my good friends, if you dont stay a week in Barcelona city.... what can I tell you, the height of the hills is not exactly THE issue there (nor our enlightened opinions about separatism).
