Although the transparent window is small, if sunlight/natural light hits it, algae will grow, and the wick will suck it up, eventually if lots of algae gathers within the wick, the suction will be blocked. I love this, have 2 of them.

I just opened my humidifier and the instructions says not to use essential oils, which is confusing since I purchased it from Amazon and they suggested that I pair the Pure Aroma Natural Essential Oils with it. Is there a reason why oils shouldn't be used?

Not sure why everyone is so excited by this review? He proved it at the end saying the humidity of the tiny room did not change.... Spend a little more money and better/bigger humidifier, this is just something cool to look at and definitley not worth it nor will it have an effect on your skin and sinuses.
