I was even able to watch the first back to future film with them using the really clever 3d mode! I’m sure they will be amazing for going on my first European cruise next month, train rides and for using on the plane - the fact of having a large virtual display anywhere you want for playing my pc games, emulators and watching films and videos is something I’ve always wanted 😁😏

True, but most available heat shrink that we've been using for electrical repair for years only shrinks to about 50% size, so tube that fits over a USB head won't seal cable. That shrink factor is actually a big improvement over widely available versions and relatively recent development.

You could actually make your very own "Tipsy Tray" with cardboard and yarn. I've tried it, and the results are the exact same.

The tipsy tray is literally the oldest tech you've ever featured on this channel. It's just basic Newtonian physics with marketing.

I love your videos. I was surprised to find heat shrink tubing on there though since it’s been around since 1950. And I’ve been fixing my cables with it for no less than 30 years. The trick is to get some thing that just fits over the wide end. It’s the USB a side that’s usually the problem. I think Sugru with have been more fitting for this channel.

@JeroenJA3 жыл бұрын
was thinking it to be old tech too , but where should you get it cheaply? it's no use putting effort in speding a few euro's for each tube to repair it, when a replacement cable in discounter store only cost a few euro's too :).> So it takes a bit of knowledge, witch most wouldn't have to find it yourself cheap and use it, unless you were lucky enough to have someone close using it and explaining it to you ;).
@kingzach743 жыл бұрын
The difference with this kind isn't that it is just heat shrink tubing, it also has adhesive on the inside, which isn't as common. Regular heat shrink is just the heat adhering it or conforming it into place around wherever it is being shrunk onto. This heat shrink is just a little bit different. Not by a lot but enough to merit talking about it.
