DOES VETERAN ABRAMS CUTOFF AT HARD BRAKING?

In this video I tested to over torque my Veteran Abrams to answer the questions after some videos of Abrams cutting out on hard braking is spread around the internet. This test was done to check whether all Abrams are defected or just some units from the first batch. I hope you find this video is helpful if you decide to buy the Veteran Abrams from Leaperkim. If you do, please perform this test before riding your wheel for the first time.

Erick nothing personal but you're not torquing it quick & hard enough. I get what you're doing but its more of a roll forward than a hard quick torque. Imagine a 200+ lb guy doing a straight off Kuji lean acceleration or a very hard braking from speed. Again no offense but from your video, you're not braking hard enough. Personally my emergency braking would be 1/2 your distance from your speed. Also don't forget, you're not european nor north american size. Good experiment tho but too bad, its not really showing the issue.

Thank you for the video, I was so hyped to buy the Veteran Abrams but after seen few videos with unfortunate cuts out I've changed my mind and postponed my purchase, now I see that can be just a faulty unit or a bad batch, Well ill wait little longer and see, maybe this will be fixed by the manufacturer in next builds.

Dude, You are too light for this wheel, therefore you have no issues with it. And your friend is not looking as 100kg guy, rather about 75...

10:31 This skid is the most informative part of the entire demo. Passes my test. Love your videos, your 360 PQ is the best I've seen and your scenery is gorgeous as well. Is it about battery level if it was fully charged there is no energy space for energy from braking to return to the battery.

I'm really interested in the statistics here, as my Abrams seems to work perfectly fine even when I leaned it as hard as I could in soft mode. If it's like 1 in 40 units what a crazy luck it was for the Denis to get such unit for his review.

yeah! I’m pretty curious as well. But being the first batch people should be aware this issue can happen to any euc model. hopefully Leaperkim can sort this out and improve their QC process

I get that. Non of my 3 GW's have blown up nor spontaneously combusted either but then, I hear all sorts of dire warnings. If ppl don't like to hear negs on their wheels, perhaps they shouldn't badmouth others. At least in this case, its provable & repeatable.

The videos of the cutouts were people that all had powerpads high up which gives them more leverage when they brake. But you have your powerpads lower. Try raising it up and retest.

10/10 efforts, however you need to grab the overhead bar and do full stroke backward and forward with all your weight+momentum. Notice the dudes that got cutoff are big guys. Not all Abrams are effecting but some do..

I like the content but i think the problem is nobody wants to be the one to get a over 4000$ defective abrams and unfortunately its gonna effect sales for leaperkim mabey they can recover from batch 2 but at that price and shipping delays its gonna be a hard sell

Looks amazing and will be a great road king but it says offroad on it and i can't get passed that its too big too heavy and too low pedals to be a offroad wheel thats why i bought a s20 hopefully the extra time kingsong has to produce it will pay off

@@eucridez2062 way to go on s20! i’m still waiting for mine too! personally i dont think abrams would be ideal for any agressive and extreme offroad trails. Its more suitable for onroad riding through the traffic. so I’m not sure why they label it as an offroad wheel 🤷🏻‍♂️

I will get back to you on that. From what I've tested so far I can get 10-15% less range than my sherman but it wasnt filmed. Hopefully will do more thorough test soon

I think this test needs to be conducted by someone heavy. The guy in the video was heavy, and I am 105kg (more with kit), 194cm. We can exert a lot more torque on a wheel just by simple leverage! It’s the same issue for reviews of wheels.. I wait till the big guys have ridden them

The issue seems to be that if you are a heavier rider the risk of overlean induced cutouts is very real, as can clearly be seen in several instances. Please can you advise us of your weight and height, I’m guessing here but I don’t think you weigh in at 100 kilos?
