This case is infuriating! All the Police had to do was ask who owns the home. His name is on all the paperwork. If they'd done 2 minutes of a background check before kicking this man out of his Own Home. They'd have seen that it wasn't possible, based on her income, that she was the homeowner. That happened to my parents and I once. One of my Mom's friends was unemployed from New York City. I was away at college and my parents were trying to sell our house in Connecticut since they moved out of State for work. So my Mom asked her friend to make sure our house was in good shape to sell. But my Mom's friend was living in our House, scaring potential Buyers away and calling it her house. She didn't have a Job and was going nowhere in her life. I was a legal advocate for years. When an unmarried person filed a protective order we asked for no more then 14 days to move out. You can also ask for repayment of money you put into home for repairs or down payment. You cannot live there for months and months.
