Wonderful ideas! Both in the video and the comments. My grinder that I just finished building, (a Housemade Generation 4) turned out pretty great, but does have this issue a tiny bit. I probably didn’t drill the holes perfect. Thanks!

Just discovered this exact problem by accident, placed a 3/4 socket and extension on the bottom platen roller nut and applied pressure to the nut inward and outward and found the roller stud was was not straight in the platen. Corrected this and belt tracked properly in toward and reverse

Why grind the wheel when you have bolt to turn? Factory bolts are not always 100% true so when you put wheel and thighten with locknut, you can turn the nut and change the wheel angles a little bit :)

I had used precision ground shoulder bolts threaded into the d-plate. The rotate trick didn't work for me.

I am wondering how you can adjust the tracking on the fly

I adjust my tracking by turning the bolt with my hand which changes the angle of the tracking wheel.
