Does Your Jeep Gladiator Have a Built-In Alarm Under the Hood? I've heard the Gladiator comes standard with a hood alarm, but not sure I believe it! Join me as I test this for myself. Have you ever tested yours?

as you illustrated, 1 is a hood sensor & the other is the start stop sensor, good video, they do make after market hood locks & alarms, Nice ride!

The Tacoma cannot be opened without popping the hood from the inside.

It does have an alarm....But You have to turn it on. if you have a Tazer mini you can activate it.

Mine is a Nationwide lift. My ceiling is 14ft I believe.

@@robmotiveplus 14' is what my son is going to have built, I looked up Nationwide and it looks the the extra tall goes for $2,550 plus shipping.......once the barn is built we'll have to look into one. Thanks for the reply.

I don’t have a Tazer from ZAutomotive (it’s on my wish list) but it’s listed in the Tazer Mini (JL/JT) features: "Hood Alarm (user enabled)". As it is a "live features", the Tazer module must stay connected in the OBD2 or SGW connector to operate the magic and I think it also means that it’s not a feature that can be programmed unlike led or halogen headlight type for example that a mechanic can set with his computer.

I know there’s a hood kit you buy, as a couple of others have mentioned!! I’ll check our JL to see if anything happens, One other comment mentioned that maybe the key fob should be far enough away!! So maybe that’s it!!🤔

My Gladiator Rubicon makes a whole lot of noise if you open the hood with the doors locked. I found that out the hard way. Nothing aftermarket, nothing extra just came that way. Not sure what’s going on with his.

Too bad there's not an alarm, but you might be able to use that circuit for some lights under the hood. I'm surprised there's not an after market lock for the hood.

Oh there are tons of aftermarket solutions to lock the hood. I'll be looking for one soon👍

You can actually you can cut the resistor out And take one side to ground and one wire to the driver side wire loom it's the violet and grey wire I believe

If i leave my keys in the jeep and try to walk away, the horn beeps and few times and the lights flash to remind me i forgot my keys. Try that

I called the Jeep maker and yes they didn’t give me a good answer why there’s no hood alarm...But like you said anyone can just open the hood and do some damage smh. The best Solution the Jeep dealer told me is to replace both the hood clamps with a lock smh

@@robmotiveplus After you tried it, what were your results 10 months ago? :-) I saw a video where the alarm didn't work until the fob was at least 20 feet away, and then had about 20-30 second delay. This was on a Mopjave I think. I have a Mojave, and haven't tested this yet.

My dad for his 2016 wrangler got a lock inside grill you take your door key to locksmith he matches key cost my dad with pop rivet gun I think 280 easy install about 30 mins
