In my opinion, guitar harmonies in doom is essential to adding that extra layer of sorrow that doom riffs portray. I wish more bands would utilize this technique

I've never been big into electric guitars, though I enjoy the music a lot. None of them have ever caught my eye or anything, don't own one. But that woodwright revelator is just a downright gorgeous instrument. If I were to ever get one, it would probably be that. That green and the fret markers, the shape, Golly what a guit fiddle

A little too fuzzy, the thing I love about Crowbar and older sludge is it was definitely influenced by older heavy metal and hardcore, so the guitar sound was much more scooped and almost clean sounding distortion, razor like production especially on something like Time Heals Nothing, Crowbar Crowbar was thicker but still similar.

The lasting dose is just beautiful. But they have so many awesome harmony parts they invented the use of it in heavy metal i swear. Kirks just a riff lord.
@DoesItDoom3 ай бұрын
I had the opportunity to ask Kirk where he got his original inspiration for all the guitar harmonies in Crowbar, and he said Trouble. I told him I expected him to say Thin Lizzy, since I’ve seen him wear Thin Lizzy shirts, but he told me he actually didn’t get into Lizzy until later on.

Off topic for the video but have you considered doing bass versions of the guitars Woodrite has put out? Obviously it wouldnt have as much of a demand as the regular electric guitars would, but you ARE talking aboht a primarily low end/bass heavy style of music and bass players would probably like to have the option.
