Thank you for sharing. This dog loves her mom so much she doesn’t want to walk without her. She loves Olivia so much she slept on mom’s tummy and sits and stares at her. Her name is so poignant. I had a dog named Lady as a kid. She was like this dog. My brother got her as a young boy. He named her. She was my dog too and she loved children. Like this Lady.

Oh babies are great! I love being around them, giving them their bottles, playing with them, rocking them to sleep, etc., then handing them back to the parents when they poop or throw up, and going home to my nice, peaceful, kid-free zone! I wasn't able to have children, and it took me some years to come to terms with that. But, I finally realized that I could have all the "baby fixes" I wanted, without the icky parts of raising them! For me, it's a win-win situation!!!

My daughter grew up with our beagle mix named Scooter. Got him when I was pregnant with her. She’s 11.5 and he was 12.5. We euthanized him 11/13/23 due to arthritis for 3 years and struggled immensely to get up. This was a beautiful reminder of my life. ❤❤❤

The one or two who respond to your gender "faux pas" aren't targeting you specifically. They just feel the need to exert some power in their otherwise powerless lives.😮🤓🧐🤬 Although using "he" or "him" used to be acceptable when I'm sure of gender years ago (I remember because I'm old 😱), most people today probably use "they" if they are unsure of the sex. Congrats to the new parents! Your going to be amazing! Love how you did the proper slow Introduction and supervision of the dog meeting your new baby. You loved your doggo so much that you found a way to make It work. My wife works at an animal shelter and she tells me that so many people surrender their dog or elderly cats when a new baby arrives. They don't want to put In the time of intergrating the family members and the poor animals are left scared and confused not understanding why they are there or where their family Is. Thank you for what you did for your beloved doggo and baby girl.
