When we found a lump on our middle-aged pup it had come up really fast, and was in the right location to correlate with mammary tissue, we found it on the Sunday, first thing Monday on the phone with the vets, and by Friday when we walked into our senior vet's office I was fully prepared for the worst. When he said he was 99% certain it was a lipoma, I was so happy, we trust his judgement completely but had him do a fine needle aspirate to get some cells to send off, just as belt and braces. I cannot recommend more highly the value in building a solid relationship of trust with your vet team, it makes all the difference to know you can trust their judgement, and that they can trust your "pawrent senses" too!

Polo the central Asian shepherd, which looks like to me a Dalmatian… who was mutilated by having his ears cropped off, & his tail, chopped off to look like a vicious, mean dog! Personally, even with the ears, chopped off & the tail gone, he still looks to me a very, very handsome dog! He’ll get adopted fast!😉

In the US (and probably the UK as well) there is a prescription gel for genital warts in humans that causes the immune system to react in that area, applied daily over 10 weeks. I wonder if there's something similar for dogs? Or maybe the human med could work on dogs? It sure beats having to take a scalpel to a dog's toe! Maybe you could even freeze them off.

Unfortunately, neither remedy always works and then surgery is the only other option and even then, they warn you that it could grow back.

It’s actually an interesting question because I’ve always wondered why Bondi vet puts the cone of shame on there dogs and cats my vet never has for any of the family dogs.

You only really need it if they are chewing stitches and licking wounds to much, if they aren’t, you don’t need it 😊

They don't always show it, but with some procedures, it's a given that the animal is going to get one.

It depends on if the animal tries to lick the injury. Sometimes animals just leave them alone and don't need a cone.

Blame you tube rules not them. If they didn't blur the content free to the general public their channels would be taken down. Your not allowed to show anything graphic in the free section of you tube. The rules are designed to protect children and sensitive members of the public from stumbling upon something which would give them nightmares, images like surgery can traumatise some people.
