You know.. I live in the other side of the world (Poland) and didnt EVER expect someone, not to mention a musician from the States, to remember me after 1.5 years. Dave did. He didnt just remembered the time and place, he took out his phone and found me in the first row crowd on a picture taken from the stage. Just amazing how well they treat their fans. Great band, but I dont have to say it, speaks for itself

As a young lad growing up in Brooklyn in 90s I used to go to a lot of NYHC shows which featured DED and still have their CD from back in the day. While more punk and less hardcore the band was frequently playing and I've seen them many times. I am grateful for being a part of the scene that taught me from young age about about Us vs Them (SOIA). There is a ruling class and there is everyone else. I remember after graduating from college and getting my first FT job where I was dressed business casual and I was approached on NYC subway by someone who saw my Sick Of It All NYHC patch on my bookbag and questioned my alliances. DED lyrics were authentic back then and are more authentic now.

Love these guys. Seen them in like... 94 or 95 at a LITTLE place in Albany NY called the QE2. Seen Life of Agony play, then these guys played a week or two later, and NYHC was in my blood to stay. I'll never forget those shows packing into the Q likes sardines, then they'd hit that first note and the place would explode into a frenzy. There was always some new folks who didn't know it was coming, and you'd see them in the corner crying, gasping for air all snotted up. Those were the days!! Always loved the uniqe sound DED brought to the scene.

Not sure if it was already 1994 or only early 95, but I remember seeing this on MTV Europe. Next day, I went to my local record store in a Northern German village and bought the album. Dog Eat Dog were big among people who liked alternative music in Germany back then! (which basically was about the whole school, my "Gymnasium", which had local hardcore bands performing at school regularly). Dog Eat Dog were really special among bands of similar genres. The saxophone! My favourite track probably is "If These Are Good Times" but it's so nice to see this, listen to this. The next album went a bit more mainstream, even friends who did not like stuff in the hardcore direction loved "Rocky", whereas other fans thought it too mainstream. Anyway, an important 90s band. Cool that they are still around!
