There was a very prestigious school doing lab tests on beagles and a whistleblower leaked it. THE PRESIDENT OF THE SCHOOL SAID NEXT TIME THEY WOULD DEBARK THE DOGS. HUMANITY HAS A LOT TO ANSWER FOR.

Phyllis! The magic of 'my dog fell asleep on me, so I can't move - it's the LAW'. What happened to Snoop was awful, but i'm glad he's now in such a good home. All the dogs rock. And it always amazes me that the foundation can cover so many vet bills - even the really big ones! Long may it continue

I've had lab rescues before and I have been a beagle owner for years. Snoop is a dollbaby and I hope the whole rest of his life is full of snuggles, snacks, and toys. To be clear, the rest of the dogs are amazing (as they are every week without fail), but as a beagle mom, Snoop got to me.

My dogs used to be the "test dogs" at the doggie daycare and boarding kennel I worked at. They helped lots of dogs scared of being in a new place for the first time feel less nervous and distracted by playing with my pups. Even red card dogs (those who are not dog friendly) were friendly with my pups. We don't deserve dogs.

Bear truly deserves an award for saving that man’s life. And dear Snoop. I’ve worked for Veterinarians right out of college and the abuse I saw made me cry but nothing was worse than a husky coming in to be spayed and finding out she had been debarked by her owner. I discovered this because the endotracheal tube I had to use was several times smaller than for a dog her size because of what that brutal surgery did to her throat. I wish the worst on the unscrupulous vets, who do these surgeries.

Love all of them! Phyllis the bulldog made me smile the most - I have been woken up many a time by my rescue bulldog doing exactly that to me. We had to say goodbye to her few weeks ago at the ripe old age of 13 and that clip made me smile at the memory (and tear up a little tbh).

Kudos to Bear. Dogs don’t recognize the concept of retirement. I hope he gets a medal. Trooper found the best family. They already had a bully and had just lost one. I worked at a doggy daycare. Some dogs love it but need breaks some times. We had crates for overnight stays. An old beagle would ask to go in a crate for naps. His mom worked for FEMA and worked weird hours.

😢 I was so sad seeing Snoop trying to awhoo and not being able to make a sound. If you don't want to hear a Beagle being a Beagle, maybe don't get a Beagle. Or any other pet, cause most animals make some kind of noise. Or dare I even say, human children, because they are certainly not silent either. I am glad that Snoop's new family is treating him well.

Even rabbits can be surprisingly loud. Wild ones will thump their back legs on the ground to alert the warren of danger and the message has to cover a fair bit of ground... domestic ones do the same thing when they're just plain mad, lol.

Laboratories aren't places where they neessarily want to hear animal noises. They have beagles in labs because they are small, easy to handle, and generally pretty good natured so the potential of harm to the researchers is less. Knowing why they choose the dogs (generally bought from breeders who supply lab animals) doesn't mean I support the practice. I just know the "why's, what's, and how's" of it.

I have no idea why it's still legal to test on dogs like that... I get animal trials but most I believe should be fairly temporary in effect, and the larger things have the animals euthanized or only do it on animals who have extremely short lifespans... Poor pupper... Glad he has a good family though!
