@@weebeedesigns. A friend of mine was a traveling salesman who took his border collie, Maxwell, with him for several years. He didn’t stay at any one store for long. He retired last May and Maxwell did NOT adjust to the new situation. He insists on going to check on the car and wants to sleep in it, just as he did while my friend worked. He wakes up during the night and barks until he checks on the car. My friend hasn’t been able to find something to substitute for “the work” Maxwell did. His yard is tiny. If you have any suggestions, let me know!

Our mini Aussie girl, Angel, rarely ever barked. She would get hyper-focused on the laser pointer we used to play with the cat, though. The only way to get her to stop was to shine in onto the ceiling and make it disappear into the ceiling register. When we said goodbye to her a few months ago, she was ready to go. She lived almost 17 years, which is a good, long, life for a little dog.

She is a very nice clever furry friend, lucky you. You wisely asked her "are you happy?" Yet her barking speaks not directly of joy and relaxation, rather of eagerness on the edge, for she needs a meaningful task as all like her were wisely bred for, by farmers and shepherds who need dogs they can rely on. So she would love to team with you in deeper cooperation, in whatever your heart is set to do. - It seems she likes active games, so why not connect some doorstoppers rather with some games and other challenges to share with you; also some IQ-games you make, she has to "brain for", interacting with you, so she can develop into more calm joyful relaxation. Interesting. I swear I’ve seen another video of a dog that looks just like that who reacts just like that to the door stoppers, and everyone in the comments was freaking out because “this dog had anxiety, you’re fuelling anxiety.” The owner had built the dog a wall of doorstoppers to play with. And I mean, I would personally be concerned if my dog reacted like that to something, but that’s because she never acts like that. She’s quiet, and just bounces around when she’s playing. Only the owner knows what to expect from their dog when they’re playing. I’ve seen Aussies bark like that with a crazy intensity when playing fetch, so I assume this lil guy’s doing just fine.
